Tell me why then I am unaffected by your gravity

I was tired. I was really, really tired. We had spent all day trying to find F/N and we had made a lot of progress, but... well, it was taking a long time. And things were getting a little more complicated as soon as we got the agency involved. When we went to Alley Cat she had to go to both Hizashi's and my agency to make sure it was okay we helped working on this case.

Honestly, we were pretty lucky that Alley Cat was so relaxed about all this and just let us join in. It wasn't like we were giving her a lot of options, but she could have just flat out refused to cooperate. So we were lucky to be able to help out officially, because... well, what Hizashi had said had struck a chord with me. We had to do this somehow officially or we might be putting Y/N in more danger.

And we had spent almost the entire day walking back and forth between Y/N' house and the agency and we didn't really find anything. Nothing at all. And what the hell were we even supposed to find? If those kidnappers were any good at what they're doing, then of course two high schoolers wouldn't find any traces. I just hoped that she was okay. That she was still alive.

"Shou, let's head back to the agency. We're not going to find anything here. Let's get back and relax for a bit, get some rest. We can't help F/N, if we're exhausted like this." Hizashi complained.

"Can't." I just responded, scanning the area. I knew what he meant, I was just as tired and I couldn't even really focus anymore, but I wasn't ready to give up. I couldn't, not until I knew whether F/N was still alive or not.

"Shouta, come on, it's not like we'll be helping her if we do the same useless thing over and over!"

I was just about to protest and give out to Hizashi when I heard my phone ringing. I quickly got it and looked at the screen. I had somehow hoped that it would be F/N, but it was Alley Cat.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Aizawa. We've got a lead on where she is. We have just gotten a call from some people who claim to hold her hostage. We tracked the number to a warehouse, I'm sending the location right now. Can you go and check that out without drawing any attention?" she asked.

I grabbed the phone more tightly. We... we had a lead on her? She had been kidnapped? Did that mean she was... she was still alive? God, I really hoped so. I needed to find her and see for myself that she was still alive. I needed to make sure she was okay. I just hoped this was a good lead.

"Of course. We'll head there right away! Should we... should we go in if she's there?" I asked.

"No. Check out the area, see how many people are around, how well guarded she is, check what the situation is. And then report that back to me. Once we have that confirmed we'll send the appropriate reinforcements and we'll go in together. We don't need three dead students, alright?"

"Okay. Fine. Got it. We'll head there right away. Thanks, Alley Cat." I said and hung up, before quickly checking the location she had sent. We were pretty closeby. Probably only around five minutes away from here. Thank God. I looked up at Hizashi and smiled at him weakly.

"Come on. They've got a lead and we're going to check it out. It's not far." I told him. I was feeling so relieved that there was finally some tiny bit of hope, but at the same time I was incredibly scared of what we'd find there - what state F/N would be in, whether she'd be there at all.

"Seriously? They... they actually found her? Is she okay?" Hizashi wanted to know, quickly walking up to him. I nodded and looked back at the location. Right, I knew where we had to go.

"Come on, we're going to see if she's okay. Or if she's even where they're suspecting her. So we better hurry, because..." I stopped talking, not quite sure where exactly I was going with this.

"Because?"

"Because I love her and I want her back with me, as soon as possible. I still need to talk to her. I can't... I can't just give up on her." I replied. I couldn't believe that it took me this long to figure this out. That it took something like F/N getting kidnapped to realize how much I didn't want to lose her.

"Alright. Let's go, or I'm actually going to cry from how cute you're being right now. You better fucking fix things with F/N as soon as we get her back, alright?" Hizashi replied. I nodded quickly.

"Of course. I know I fucked up and I need to fix everything. But we need to get her back first of all."

"Right, so where is this place?" Hizashi wanted to know. I looked around the area. We were supposed to be quite close to the building and Alley Cat had described it as an abandoned warehouse. But every second house on this street was an abandoned warehouse. I checked the phone again.

"It should be around here..." I muttered, as I noticed someone coming out of one of the buildings with a cigarette in his hands. He didn't really look like he belonged here. I quickly grabbed Hizashi's arm and pulled him around the corner of the next best building, before we were spotted.

"Woah, what's going on?" Hizashi wanted to know, but I gestured for him to be quiet, before looking back around the corner. The guy was just standing there, smoking his cigarette. He definitely seemed suspicious...

"I think this is the building, Zashi..." I muttered quietly. He raised his eyebrows and looked at the wall of the warehouse. There were some huge windows right beside us and Hizashi walked up to one of them, ducking below the windowsill and peeking inside the building, his eyes widening.

"Oh shit... I'm pretty sure this is it..." Hizashi whispered. I raised my eyebrows and glanced inside, just to see a bunch of guys playing cards, with F/N off to the side. She had blood all over her and she looked like she was sleeping. I sure hoped she was sleeping and not unconscious or... dead.

"Fuck, Hizashi... please tell me she's just asleep... please, Hizashi." I said to him, feeling myself starting to panic. In my head I kept seeing that damn body bag that... that Oboro was in... fuck...

"Shou, it's fine. It'll be fine. I'm sure she's just asleep, look, she has some food there and she has a bottle of water next to her, too. They wouldn't bother with that if she was dead, right? And I'm sure they wouldn't be playing cards like that if she was dead. They'd have much bigger problems then." Hizashi quickly replied, as I was trying to get my breathing under control.

"Okay... okay... you're right... Fuck, what do we do now? Hizashi, what do we do?" I asked him.

"Call Alley Cat and tell her everything we know about the situation. See what she says and then we'll wait for reinforcements, okay?" Hizashi said quietly. Somehow that brought me back to reality. He was right. This wasn't a time to panic, I needed to tell Alley Cat what was going on and then see what she suggested doing. And then we'd get F/N back. Hopefully in one piece.

"Alright. Alright. God, I'm sorry, Hizashi, I don't know why I just freaked out." I said, while I got my phone out of my pocket. My hands were shivering while I went to call Alley Cat, because I was just so damn nervous. What if they said we weren't going to get F/N back? What if they told us to go home and they'd take care of it? I didn't think I could just sit at home and wait. Especially not, since I didn't really have much of a home to speak of at the moment.

"Yes?" I heard Alley Cat's voice on the other end of the phone.

"We found her. She's here."
