You can never get enough

Enough of this stuff

I was so glad that my lunch break had started and I could finally leave this damn office. Yesterday and today I had only been doing office work - brewing coffee, sorting paperwork, filing things, printing and copying. Of course I knew that all that was part of the hero job, but I wanted to go out on patrols already. I was told I could do that later on in the week, so I was hoping that things would get better then.

Right now I was hyped to go and meet up with my friends after I hadn't seen them all weekend. We had all managed to get internships in roughly the same area. We had met up at a really cool street ramen shop for lunch yesterday and their experiences so far had been much the same as mine.

Getting internships in the same area was probably one of the best ideas Hizashi ever had in his entire life. Meeting up for lunch was the highlight of my day, especially now that I was only doing office work and not going on any patrols yet. I quickly threw some things in my bag and rushed out of the agency, quickly saying bye to some of the people. The ramen shop was just around the corner and down the street.

As I approached it, I already saw Shouta and Hizashi there. Oboro was late as usual, of course. Yesterday, he had been late getting to lunch and he had been late getting back to work, too. How he managed to get out of that one, I had no clue. But Oboro was good at finding excuses.

"Shouta! Hizashi! You're here early!" I exclaimed, quickly jogging over to them. They looked up at me from their ramen.

"HEY (F/N)! How's it hanging?" Hizashi shouted.

"We both got to go on lunch break a little earlier today. Finished our work up fast enough." Shouta explained.

"Office work again?" I asked them.

"Yeah. It's kind of a bummer." Hizashi replied.

"I can't believe Oboro's late again. How is he literally never on time?" Shouta mumbled, checking the time on his phone.

"I have no idea. Wouldn't be Oboro if he wasn't notoriously late, though. I'll be right back, I'm gonna order some ramen, I'm literally starving." I said to them. Jogging over here had really left me out of breath and I needed a few minutes to myself. Plus, I was actually quite hungry. Office work took up more energy than I expected.

"Hi, can I get a serving of Shoyu Ramen, please?" I asked the guy behind the counter. He nodded and started putting together the bowl of noodles. While he was preparing my lunch, I looked back at Hizashi and Shouta. Hizashi was doing some silly dance while Shouta just sat there, rolling his eyes and shaking his head from time to time and slurping his ramen. I would never have guessed it, but Shouta was the sloppiest eater when it came to ramen. The broth went basically everywhere but his mouth.

"Here you go, Miss. That's 800 yen, please." the shop owner said. I quickly took out a few notes and got my bowl from the counter, making my way back towards where Shouta and Hizashi were sitting.

"Oh my God, I swear, one of these days I will make it on time. Promise, guys." we suddenly heard a loud voice from the other side of the street, as Oboro came floating in on one of his clouds.

"Stop lying, Oboro." I mumbled, my mouth full of noodles.

"It's not a lie, more like an empty promise." Oboro replied, still sitting on his cloud, as if he was sitting on some sort of throne, talking down to his subjects.
