mini tw / very quick mention of suicide but not for long & doesn't directly involve mc

a week had passed since yeosang first got to wooyoung and san's, and although things were still hard, yeosang was doing much better. san and wooyoung were happy to see this, not to mention how proud they were that yeosang was finally trying to take control of his life.

seonghwa and hongjoong had been coming over almost daily to spend time with the three, especially since they knew that both san and wooyoung would have to leave at times for therapy and felt bad leaving yeosang by himself. today though, as soon as wooyoung and san left to go to group, yeosang got curious.

"i thought that san only went once a week for therapy?" he asked, confused.

"they haven't told you?" seonghwa questioned.

yeosang shook his head.

"well... you didn't hear this from me, but wooyoung's been going to therapy too now. and both of them go to group therapy once a week as well. wooyoung won't tell us why he goes, but san told me he's been having a hard time and he also mentioned how jisu being gone has been hurting him a bit more than usual."

"hwa... it's been nearly eleven months."

"i know... i-i know."

"do you miss her?"

"i do. i loved her a lot, sangie. i still do. she was a very special girl, almost like a sister to me. and she was like a sister to soojin too."

"sometimes i forget she was friends with your sister."

"yeah... when the accident happened, i-i didn't think soojin would be able to handle it..."

"i wish i had gotten to meet jisu," hongjoong whispered. "she sounds like the nicest girl ever."

"she really was," yeosang smiled sadly. "she always knew how to make people smile and laugh... she was an angel."

"an angel who had a crush on her brother's gay best friend," seonghwa laughed.

"no... she had her eyes on someone else when she passed. but yeah, she did like me at one point."

"that's cute," hongjoong smiled.

seonghwa and yeosang continued to share memories they had with jisu for the next few minutes, smiles on both of their faces. hongjoong appeared lost in thought, but nodded to show he was listening, then turned to yeosang.

"i just had a thought... why's no one call you yeo?"

yeosang smiled sadly, looking down for a moment before he went to explain.

"that was ji's nickname for me. she claimed i was her yeo. she joked that no one else was allowed to call me that, and whenever woo did she'd jokingly throw a tantrum. but now that she's gone... it doesn't feel right to have anyone call me that. i was her yeo, and she was my jiji. with her gone... i'm not anyone's yeo, and i don't think it's right to ever be anyone's yeo again."

"those two had a very sweet bond. a little odd at times, but sweet nonetheless," seonghwa explained.

"she knew me better than i knew myself. she was the little sister i never had, and i'm just forever going to be grateful for the time i spent with her."

"you're very lucky to have had her in your life, it sounds," hongjoong smiled, gently taking yeosang's hand in his own.

"absolutely."

the sound of the door opening distracted the boys from their conversation, leaving the three confused as san and wooyoung walked inside.

"you guys are home earlier than usual... everything okay?" seonghwa asked.

"um... not exactly? someone made a comment and it was really insensitive and kind of triggering and when wooyoung noticed how tense i was getting, it pissed him off and he almost got into a fight with this guy..." san explained shyly.

"you weren't the only one there who was triggered, san! i did what i had to do," wooyoung huffed.

"what did he say?" yeosang asked.

"i'm not repeating what he said."

"then i will," san started. "we were having a discussion about better ways to handle suicidal thoughts than trying to commit suicide, a-and this guy goes and starts saying how he doesn't find anything wrong with committing a-and starts listing off ways he's tried to do it..."

"you don't fucking do that. especially not in group," wooyoung snapped.

"i'm so sorry, guys... that sounds rough," seonghwa said with a frown.

"i got us kicked out," wooyoung shrugged.

"actually... you got yourself kicked out, and i had to come with you to make sure you didn't do anything stupid," san laughed, pulling wooyoung close.

wooyoung blushed a bit, beginning to relax in san's arms.

"san... can we talk to you for a quick sec?" seonghwa asked, getting up.

san nodded, following seonghwa and hongjoong into the kitchen.

"yeosang and i were sharing a bunch of stories about our time with jisu earlier and it had me thinking, what if we do something for woo? something to celebrate jisu's life and all of the amazing memories we made with her."

"that sounds awesome, hwa... woo would love that."

"hwa and i will take care of everything, okay? and we'll make sure you know what we need from you," hongjoong added.

san nodded, hugging both boys, then heading into the living room again and sitting beside wooyoung, who was deep in conversation with yeosang.

"i'm tired," san muttered. "can we go cuddle?"

"in a little bit, sannie. i wanna talk to sangie for a few, okay?"

san nodded, kissing wooyoung's cheek, then he cuddled into the younger boy's back while he listened to the two talking. wooyoung noticed and smiled a bit, looking up at yeosang with eyes filled with love for the boy clinging to him.

"you guys are adorable, you know that?" yeosang smiled.

"i suppose we are," wooyoung laughed. "he's far more adorable than me, though."

"shh, don't say that," san muttered, kissing the back of wooyoung's neck. "you're the most adorable human to ever walk the earth."

yeosang quickly pulled out his phone and started taking pictures of the two, watching them argue over who was more adorable. it wasn't long before they grew tired though, and eventually went upstairs to rest.

san and wooyoung laid with their legs tangled together, simply enjoying each others company. wooyoung rested his head on san's chest, listening to the boy's heartbeat, thinking about how lucky he was to have such an incredible support system in his life. he was so glad that he was finally taking control, opening up, and getting help, because he finally saw a reason to live.

and that reason was san.
