for the next few days, wooyoung and san went through the same routine. san would take his pills in front of wooyoung, often needing the boy's encouragement; then on the way to the train station, wooyoung would challenge san to come up with three positives for the day. san couldn't even explain how grateful he was for this. he was finally starting to make progress, and it was all because of wooyoung.

"sannie, you need to get up... you're gonna be late for your appointment," wooyoung whispered, shaking him lightly.

"five more minutes," san mumbled.

"you don't have five minutes, love... i'm still not ready to drive, if we leave any later we're gonna be late walking..."

san groaned slightly, but obliged and started to get up, wooyoung pressing a soft kiss to his cheek.

"thank you... i know you were pretty tired, i just don't want you to get hit with any fees for missing an appointment or anything..."

"i appreciate you looking out for me, baby... i really do," san said softly, going over to the wardrobe and grabbing a fresh shirt.

"you didn't sleep well last night, did you? this morning you had a hard time getting up too..."

"yeah... i was feeling a bit anxious last night, but i'm okay. i have an exam coming up, that's probably why."

"ahhh, okay... well, if you have trouble sleeping tonight, wake me up, yeah? i don't want you falling asleep in classes or anything tomorrow."

"thank you, bub," san said while changing.

he quickly looked in the mirror and fixed his hair, then grabbed his shoes and looked at wooyoung.

"ready to go?"

"yep, let me just grab my shoes."

wooyoung got up and grabbed his shoes, then the two went downstairs, put their shoes on and headed out the door.

"two positives, go," wooyoung challenged.

"woo.. we did this in the morning," san laughed.

"i wanna do it again, though. it seems to help, at least a little. maybe doing more of them will factor in with time..."

"only for you, my love..."

"do you wanna start or should i?"

"i'll go..." san said with a nod, taking wooyoung's hand in his own. "today i got to walk to class with seonghwa, his class is down the hall from mine. we talked a bit and i was really happy to hear that things are going well for him and hongjoong."

"oh my god, that's right! it's been a couple days since i've stayed in joongie's room, so i haven't heard much."

"yeah, apparently the day we had our picnic seonghwa asked joongie almost all of the questions i had asked hwa if he knew the answers to. he didn't push for any answers but i guess he got them all pretty easily."

"oh wow... well, i'm glad. and i'm happy that you were able to talk with seonghwa about that and hear directly from him about how things are going."

"your turn, love."

"well... apparently the police are going to be able to review video from around the cemetery and find out who did that to jisu's headstone... i know it's not like super positive, but i'm glad that we're going to find the person and they're going to be charged..."

"hey, when'd you find that out, baby? i'm glad they're going to find them..."

"mom texted me... she wanted me to tell you too but you were sleeping."

"well, that's great. wanna visit jisu after my appointment?"

"i'd like that..." wooyoung said with a small smile. "now it's your turn again."

"okay... um, i answered a question correctly in class," san said softly, clearly not feeling super positive about his response.

"what class?"

"psychology..." san whispered, beginning to look at the ground.

"sannie... you're really good at psychology. that's the one class you talk about all the time and always have stories about your answers in class. i'm still happy for you, but you do that a lot... was there anything else that could count as a positive today?"

san sighed, biting his lip a bit and shaking his head.

"to be honest... today was rough.."

"and that's okay, you know that. just be honest about it from the start next time, don't try to cover things up when we do positives."

"i'm sorry..."

"don't apologize... it's okay. you wanna talk about things later?"

san nodded as they walked into the psychiatrist's office and then san went over and checked himself in.

"i have a positive for you, san."

"you do?"

"i do... you just checked in for yourself for the first time ever. usually you get too nervous to do that and i check you in."

"i-i did, didn't i?" san smiled.

"i'm so proud, babes... i really am," wooyoung muttered, pulling san into a hug.

san sighed contently, taking in wooyoung's scent and then pressing a soft kiss to the boy's shoulder.

"i love you.."

"i love you more, sannie.."

san gently cupped wooyoung's cheeks and kissed him sweetly, then san heard his name get called out.

"see you soon, baby..."

"see you," wooyoung smiled.
