   Chapter Seventy-Three : Buddies

   “You are cancelled.”

Star narrowed her eyes at me pettily with an exaggerated pout on her lips. Then she whips her head too quickly she slightly jolts from disorientation. Serves her right.

“What? Cancelled?” I muttered in disbelief whilst my brows scrunched so much a wrinkle might as well decide to permanently stay.

I mean I’m sorry? For not telling her?

But this is not Twitter where you can cancel basically anyone you deem problematic. The plot twist? You’re actually the problem. Boom.

 As if that made sense.

She scoffs, insisting on ignoring me while pursing her lips with a hand hovered up her chin.

“Ohohoho. Do I sense a quarrel?” May appeared at the most perfect timing as usual. It’s like she has some super hearing or something. Like she suddenly hovers from thin air with her ear twice as sensitive than the dogs.

“Shut up May. Can’t you read the atmosphere?” Leila stood beside May, folding her arms in annoyance towards May.

There wouldn’t be a morning where you can’t see them bicker back and forth. Then again, that’s why they’re friends.

“Please pass to her this message that I’m still upset at her,” Star grumpily butted in, keeping her attention to the front.

“I’m literally beside you. You’re acting like a kindergarten who’s picking sides on who to be friends with,” I sourly added.

“Aww lover boy is approaching,” Jackie literally appeared from nowhere, clasping her hand on my shoulder without any warning, causing me to slightly jolt from shock.

Is she a ghost or something? She’s so discreet she might give you a heart attack someday. She’d be a perfect assassin.

“We made some merch,” she murmured, peering her head to meet me.

“Huh? What merch?” I furrowed my brows even deeper.

“JanTom Merch silly.” Jackie coyly chuckles, musing in my confusion with a cheeky grin.

I oddly glanced at her. “You guys are crazy.”

I’m not sure whether to consider this amusing or terrifying with the amount of obsession they have towards me and Tom. I might have to watch my back or something. Creepy.

“It’s called being supportive,” Jackie defended, emphasizing her words with stress.

“Not with the way you’re executing it,” I sardonically replied, brushing her clasped hands away from my shoulders. “—you guys could be serial killers for all I know.”

“Heya Lover Boy!” May waved her hands enthusiastically like a girl on sugar rush just finishing ten bars of chocolate and downed it with Coke. The amount of hyper in this girl is concerning.

“Hey,” Tom flashed his usual boyish grin.

“I applaud you dear sir for taking this mademoiselle’s hand in mar—“

  “Jackie!” I harshly whispered.

“Whoops. Now she’s angry,” Jackie grinned, winking in the process. “—anyway, congrats you two.”

“Thanks,” Tom sheepishly nods, scratching the tips of his hair.

“Would you be okay with us monetizing some JanTom merch?” Leila inquired, adjusting the non-existent bridge of her non-existing glasses.
