Sam and max return to love land

"Ah, valentines day. The corporate greed holiday made to sell flowers, chocolates and cheesy greeting cards." Sam said as he sat down at his desk. "Just as gross as it is every year." Max says, sitting at his. "You got that right. But hey, I'm looking forward to the boatloads of half off chocolate tomorrow." Sam said. Max smiled. "Yeah!" he thinks for a moment. "Say Sam, do you have a special someone yet?" Sam shakes his head. "Nope. there are no girls I'm really interested in." He looks to max. "What about you? Any hot guys you have your eye on?" Max lies his head on his desk. "Nah, none of them are even remotely ripped enough for my standards."

Their conversation was interrupted by the phone ringing.
They both immediately shot up and wrestled to get it, Sam winning as usual. "Hello? Yeah? Yes? Of course! Aww, happy valentines day to you too commissioner!" He hung up. "Looks like we're off to that place full of gross, mushy lovebirds." Max gasped. "You don't mean..." Sam nodded. "I mean that exactly." Max groaned. "Ugh... why did it have to be love land? Why couldn't we have had a case somewhere cool like a robot dinosaur explosives factory?" Sam laughed. "Probably because it's valentine's day and it wouldn't fit the theme of this fanfic." Max rolled his eyes and got up. "Maybe you should just go without me." Sam patted his head. "But It wouldn't be romantic without you!" Max blushed a little and smiled. "Aww Sammy you flatter me." Sam giggled. "Let's go!" Max rolled his eyes. "Fiiine.."

The de soto pulled up outside the entrance to the love themed amusement park. Sam got out. "Hello love land, it sure is good to be back." Max gagged. "Ugh, I can smell the dopamine from here." Sam looked around. "Okay max, keep your eyes peeled. As soon as we find and catch this crook, the sooner we can leave this place." Max nodded and started looking around.

They didn't have to look very far before finding the villain, a teenaged looking girl all dressed in pink and red, covered in comically oversized ribbon bows and armed with 2 massive barreled guns(literal guns you pervs). They hid and watched her as she shot two unsuspecting passerby, who then immediately started smooching. It took a lot for Max not to vomit all over himself. Sam then came out of hiding, pointing his gun at her. "Freeze lovergirl! You are under arrest for sexual harassment and unauthorized matchmaking." the villain(I'm calling her lovergirl because I'm getting tired of having nameless characters lol) looked them over. "Oh my... I've never gotten to matchmake two guys before! This will be fun!" She started shooting at them with her love guns. They ran away, Sam trying to shoot back at her but his aim was terrible since it's really hard to shoot while running away from being shot.

They both managed to dodge her love bullets until they both got shot at the same time, right in the chests. Love bug smiled. "I'll leave you two to get acquainted." Sam sat up, looking over at max. "Are you okay?" Max looked back at him. "Yeah.." they both stared at each other for a bit before Max looked down at his hands. "I think those bullets were duds." Sam nodded. "I agree little buddy, but that libido-crazed maniac will be back any minute..." Max thinks. "How do we convince her that we've fallen completely and hopelessly in love with each other?"

They step out of hiding, making sure they get lovergirls attention before they started acting. Max took Sam's hand, saying "oh Sam, I have never noticed how handsome you are..." he gave it a smooch. Sam blushes. "Aww max, you're the handsome one!" Max giggled, looking into his eyes. "Oh please, compared to you I looked like something a cat coughed up!" Sam kneels and boops him on the nose. "Hey, that's my future husband you're talking about there!" max blushes. "Oh.. OH COME HERE YA BIG LUG!" he jumps on Sam, kissing him passionately. The two make out as lovergirl watches, nose bleeding. She giggles as she wipes her nose with a pink lace handkerchief. "Just as planned." She walks away, and Sam and Max pull apart.

"Lovely acting Sam, I was almost convinced myself!" max said as Sam gags. "Holy schmoly max, when was the last time you brushed your teeth?" Max crosses his arms. "You're one to talk, Mr Dog breath!" Sam gets up. "Let's just catch her and get out of here."

One chase scene later they managed to catch and chain love bug, cuffing her on the hood of the de soto. Sam smiled in victory. "Another criminal crushed under the thumb of justice." Max smiled and looked at lovergirl. "Oh, by the way those bullet's you shot us with were duds," lovergirl growled. "You fool, the only reason they don't work is if you are already in love with each other." Sam and Max both froze, realizing what this meant, looking at each other for a brief moment before Sam went "nah, probably just duds." Max nodded and helped Sam toss the wriggling crook in the back of the car.

One slammer visit later, Sam and Max decided to sit on the roof of the building to watch the sun set. It was a little awkward, so Sam decided to break the silence. "So... uh.. About what lovergirl said..." Max sighed, gently putting his hand on top of Sam's. "C-can we not talk about that...? I'm... not very good at talking about feelings..." Sam nodded, gently taking Max's hand in his and entwining their fingers. Max sighed gently. "Pretty sky ain't it?" Sam nodded. "Yeah... I think you are prettier though.." Max blushed. "Aw, stop it you." he scooted closer to Sam to lean on him. Sam smiled. "Happy valentines day max." Max smiled. "Happy Valentine's Day Sam."

He leaned up to face him, looking into his black eyes. Sam smiled gently, looking into Max's dark brown ones. "I love you." they said at the same time before kissing again. This time it was more soft and gentle like they wanted their first kiss to be.
Once pulling away, Max leaned on him again as they held each other gently. Sam said "you still need to brush your teeth." Max rolled his eyes. "Everyone's a critic."
