It is a hot summer day in New York and Sam and Max decided to take a vacation day to go to the shoreline and cool off (mostly because the air conditioner in the office wasn't working and they were probably gonna burst into flames if they spent another second in there).

Max was busy making sand sculptures of nuclear bombs and eating crabs when Sam walked by, dripping with saltwater and coughing. "Okay, that is the LAST time I EVER try to do that..." he sighed and went to lie down on the towel under their colored umbrella. Max walked over. "What happened?" Sam looked at him. "I was looking for shells but I guess I went out too far cause I got knocked over by like a 10 foot wave..." Max giggles. "Wow." Sam nods. "Yeah, I think I'm gonna have a nap, I need to recover energy after that, cause man, that was awful..." he closes his eyes and breathes deeply. "Okay, you do that, and I'll go make some more life like sand castles of my adorably marketable face!" Sam smiled. "Okay, enjoy lil buddy." Max nods and skips away to go do so.

Once he got bored of that, he decided to walk along the beach and count the umbrellas. Once he got bored of that, he decided to come back to check on Sam, who was still sound asleep. Max lay down on the towel next to him, looking up to watch the clouds.

The two relaxed for a while, before Max gets an idea, blushing. He turns his head to look at Sam, still asleep. He gets up, kneeling next to Sam's head. "Would he wake up if I..." he whispers. he shakes his head. "N-no, I shouldn't... but maybe if I..." he leans down, getting closer.
But just as their lips were about to touch, Sam woke up, finding a red faced max above him. The two looked at each other awkwardly, before Sam smiled. "Aww max, you were trying to revive me." Max turned away, disappointed. "N-no! I just didn't want my trusty sidekick dying on me!" Sam reached over and brought him to his chest, hugging him gently. "That's sweet little buddy, but I'm perfectly fine!" He takes Max's hand and places it on his chest, so Max could feel his heartbeat. "See?" Max smiles a little, his face still red. "O-okay good..." The two cuddled on the towels for a little bit as the sun started to set.

Max looks to sam. "Hey.. Sam?" Sam looks down to him. "Yeah?" max blushes. "Um... when you were asleep I was kinda... trying to kiss you..." Sam goes red. "Wait... is that why you were... oh Maxie!" he hugs him. "That's so romantic!" Max blushes and rolls his eyes. "Yeah yeah I know, I'm a huge sap..." Sam kisses his head. "Nah, just a romantic deep down." Max blushes and grumbles a little. "Says you..."

The sun was setting, the golden light reflecting off the ocean and sparkling. The two men watched. Sam looked to max. "Say buddy..." Max looked up. "Yeah?" Sam smiled. "Before we pack up and head home, wanna have that kiss you wanted?" Max blushed. "O-only if you want to..?" Sam giggled and nodded. Max practically tackles him to the ground, kissing him passionately. Sam flinches, falling back onto the towel as he holds max by the waist. The two make out for a bit until Max abruptly pulls back. "OW" he looks to his ankle, which had gotten pinched by a hermit crab. "You ruined the moment you little c**t!" Max leaps off Sam and goes to chase after it. Sam laughs. "You crack me up, little buddy!"
