(warning- this story contains a not very well liked ship)

It was a normal day at Stinky's diner and grandpa stinky was busy doing some needlepoint. "Da da dee dee, stitch 1 purl 2, da dee dee da dee doo..."

Then he smelled something. "What's that smell?" he rushes outside to the cash register. "The register!" He picks it up, shaking it and listening to the coins rattling inside. "49..0...8!?" he says, looking shocked. "That's a penny short!" he starts to cry, leaning on the counter.

"Oh no, not a penny." gs sarcastically says as she walks by. "Help, somebody help us..."

Max walks over to comfort grandpa. "It's just a penny sir!" Grandpa stops crying and looks at him. "It doesn't matter!" Max says. "Doesn't matter?" grandpa asks, grabbing Max by the shoulders. "It's money that makes the world go round boy!" he points to Max's tail. "It's money that keeps your tail cotton!" he points to gs. "It's money that keeps Girl in frilly perfume!"

Gs smells her wrist and smiles. "lilac..."

He then points around at several comically large band aids around the diner. "It's money that paid for all the renovations we did!" he looks back to max. "Oh, nothing in all the seven SEAS could matter more! Not even that-" he stops talking when something, or rather someone, catches his eye.

"Scrumptious curvy cutie..." he says, blushing and smiling.

"I see her grandpa.." Max says. "A fudgie freeze with extra sprinkles." he watches the lady pick it up." The classic.'' Grandpa shakes his head. "Not the popsicle boy, the curvy cutie HOLDING the popsicle!" Max looks over.

Grandma Ruth was enjoying her dessert. (i assume the whole chocolate immunity thing runs in Sam's family)

"Hey! That's my driving teacher, Mrs. Ruth!" Max says happily. "MRS Ruth?" grandpa asks "Aww, she's married..." he says sadly, looking down. "Oh no grandpa stinky, she's single!" Grandpa looks shocked. "Then what happened to her husband?"

Max remembers the picture of grandpa Leo.

"She doesn't like to talk about it.." he says sadly. Grandpa looks back at Ruth. "Oh, what would I give to have a lass like that on my arm..." Max gets an idea. "Hey! How about I take you over and introduce you?" Grandpa gets scared, shaking his head. "O-oh no, no! I-I'm too old, boy, too hard headed for love." he points at himself. "Besides, I ain't properly dressed." Max smiles. "Aw come on grandpa, you look great!"

Grandpa had a myriad of food stains on his shirt and pants.
"You wait here, while I go break the ice!" Max says, rushing over. "MAX NO WAIT! I'M TOO NERVOUS! OHHH..." grandpa says, scared.

Max walks over to the booth. "Hi grandma Ruth!" Ruth immediately freaks out, yelling things like "AH MAX THE BREAK! MAX WATCH FOR THE TREE! LEFT! LEFT!"

"Grandma relax!" Max says, waving his hand in front of her face. "We're not driving!" Ruth calms down, looking at Max with her hand on her chest. "O-oh I'm sorry Maxwell, I didn't, expect to, see you here..." she says, looking worried. "I work here grandma!" Max says, smiling. "Wanna meet my boss?" Ruth smiles. "Well, i-" "don't move!" he runs off. Ruth sighs.

Max pushes grandpa over to the table. "I'd like to introduce you-"

Grandpa falls flat on his face.

Max pulls him back up. "Grandma Ruth, I'd like you to meet my boss, grandpa stinky."

"Uh, hello!" Ruth says, smiling and waving shyly.

Grandpa was frozen, nervously sweating. "Psst, grandpa say hello!" max whispers.

Grandpa shouts out of pure panic. Max grabs his arm. "No no grandpa, just say hello!"

Grandpa gives more unintelligible shouts. "Uh, perhaps another time would be..." Ruth says, starting to get up. Grandpa shouts more. "Wait! He's trying to tell you something!" Max says.
"Grandpa stinky?" Ruth says, looking concerned.
