Sam and max stories

Every last second

Max sighed, sitting against the cold stone wall. He and Sam were on a case on another planet, but it went wrong when they somehow managed to commit treason against the aliens, be sentenced to death by the alien leaders, and were now sitting in a jail cell on death row. He had already tried to bite his way out but it was useless, the bars and walls were harder than diamonds. They probably only had hours, if not days, left to live before they were executed.

He looked to Sam, who was sadly lying down on the fold out bench. He thinks. Would now be a good time to reveal his true feelings? Well, he guessed it would be his last chance...

He gets up, taking a deep breath. "Hey Sam...?" Sam looks up to him. "Yeah...?" "s-since we're gonna die soon there is... something I should probably tell you..." Sam sat up. "If this is about the last box of bagel bites I already know you ate them..."

Max shakes his head. "N-no... it's not that..." Sam looks at him. "Well, what is it?" Max looked down. "Well... Sam... it's just... we've been best friends for a long time now and... I would never want to mess that up, but..." Sam tilt's his head. "yes...?" Max closes his eyes and stomps his feet as he blurts out "DAMMIT! I LOVE YOU SAM! YOU ARE THE BEST THING THAT'S EVER HAPPENED TO ME!! I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE UNIVERSE!!" Sam flinches, but listens, going red. "M-max... d-do you really m-mean that?" Max nods. "Of course I do..." he whispers.

After an awkward minute or two of silence, Sam reaches out, taking hold of him and hugging him gently. "I feel the same way, little buddy..." Max's eyes shoot open. "Wait... you do...?" Sam nods. "Yes... I love you max...'' Max smiled widely, laughing with joy and embracing Sam tightly. Sam holds him, smiling happily. Max pulls back after a bit. "Well now I feel stupid for not saying anything all these years... we're finally a couple and now we are about to die..." Sam laughs. "Well, that may be true but.." he takes Max's chin. "We can still spend every last second together." Max smiles. "I guess so..." Sam boops his nose. "You're so cute..." Max giggles. "Shut up and kiss me, you big dork." Sam does, holding him by the waist. Max wraps his arms around Sam's neck as they kiss, slowly turning into a make out session.

They continued to passionately make out until a guard came by. "Okay guys, times up." they look at him, separating and wiping the spit from their mouths.

He takes them to the execution chamber. "We just have one request." Sam says. The guard looks at them. "Yes?" Sam holds Max's hand. "Can you... kill us both at the exact same time?" the guard nods. "I don't see why not." He leads them to the center of the giant target, then goes to position the giant laser meant to fry them like bacon bits.

They held each other tightly. "Goodbye Sam... I'll see you in hell...'' Sam smiled a little. "I'll be there buddy..." They kiss a final time as the guard throws the switch and the laser shoots towards them.

But it didn't kill them.

It didn't even hurt them.

Sam waited for the heat, but it didn't come. He opens his eyes slowly. Max does too, looking towards the laser. But instead of cooking them alive, it was going right through them, like a hologram. "What the..." as Max moved, the laser bounced off him, like he was a mirror. "Cool!" Sam observes. "Wow.... the laser must be magnetic or something." max giggles. "Watch this" he aimed the laser at the guards, making their heads explode.

"Wow, how gruesome." Sam said. "Hehe! Let's get out of here! He grabs Sam's hand and pulls him as they run.

There was a long prison escape scene involving Max reflecting a lot of lasers and a lot of alien guards exploding.

The two quickly ran back to the car and got in, escaping just in a nick of time before the guards caught them.

After they escaped and drove back to earth, they got married and lived out their happy lives together.
