What a case that had been. Sam and Max, freelance police, had just solved the case of the skedaddling sasquatch and were now walking back to the car after using the last of the bullets they had at the carnival shooting booth.

Max stretched his arms. "Man, what a day that was!" Sam nodded. "You can say that again, little buddy." Max giggled. "What a day that was!" Sam laughed. "Haha. We haven't had a case this big in years!" Max nodded. He then went quiet. "Hey, uh... Sam...?" Sam looked down at him. "Yeah max?" Max looked away. "There's something... big I wanna ask you." Sam listened. :yes?" They stopped by the car. Max took a deep breath. "Well, being on the road for so long, it.... Made me realize something important." Sam nodded. "yes..? What is it..?"

"I don't want to be your boyfriend anymore."

Sam's chest hurt, and he started to tear up. "W-why..? Did I do something wrong..?"

Max giggled. "Let me finish."

Sam looked at him, still confused.

"I don't want to be your boyfriend, because.." he reached in his inventory and pulled out a small box.

Sam gasped as he realized what this meant, covering his mouth.

Max opened the box, revealing a ring. "I want to be your husband." he got on one knee. "Will you marry me Sam..?"

Sam burst into happy sobbing. "C-Can't think of a reason not to!" he kneels down too, pulling Max into a sloppy kiss. Max pulled away and smiled. "Great!" He took the ring, putting it on Sam's large finger. Sam held him closely, his tone going semi serious but still happily sobbing. "Max, don't ever joke about that again." Max laughed. "I'm sorry." Sam sighed. "I really thought you were dumping me.." Max shook his head. "Nope! I wanted to take our relationship in the exact opposite direction!"

Sam smiled, kissing him again.

"God, I love you."
