Tied to you

Max walked through the men's section of a fancy clothes store, looking at all the different neck and bow ties. Sam's old black and blue tie had recently gotten demolished (how is a mystery, though it was most likely from either a tough fight on a case, or just from one of their "nights off" ), and he had been rather upset. So Max took it upon himself to go get him a new one.

At first he was just gonna get one that looked exactly like the old one, but then he had an idea. What if he got one like that, and a brand new one that Sam had never seen before? So here he was. But so far, none of the ties he had found said "perfect for Sam".

Green stripes, purple dots, pink squiggles, novelty patterned, none of them would look good on sam. (well, that's a lie, he was pretty sure ANY tie would look good on Sam, Sam being, well, himself. But none of them were perfect.)

He was just about to give up, and then he saw it. There, sitting in the window display on a mannequin, was the perfect tie.

A little bit later, Max strolls back into the office, having wrapped the ties up into little boxes with ribbons. Sam notices. "Hey buddy, where was ya?" "oh! I was just... chasing some pigeons!" yeah!" He goes and gives Sam the first box. "I, uh, got ya somethin when I was out. Saw it and thought you'd like it!" Sam gasps. "For me?" Sam opened the box, finding the black and blue tie. He gasped and smiled. "Aww, max!" he takes it out, putting it on. "It's just like my old one!" Max smiles. "Yeah! Just as ugly as your last one." Sam giggled, hugging him. "Thank you!" max hugs back. "Aww, it was nothing." he pulls back. "But that's not all!" He hands Sam the other box. Sam takes it, smiling. "Aww max, you're spoiling me!" he opens the box, and there, in it, was a perfectly black tie with Max's adorably marketable face printed on it.

"Now when you wear it, everyone will know who you belong to! Hehe!" Max said jokingly. Sam remained silent, tearing up. Max's stomach got a pit in it. "O-oh Sam, I'm sorry I was just joking!" Sam kept looking at the thing, weeping. Max steps back a bit. 'I-if you don't like it, I can return it!"

Sam looks at him, smiling wider than Max had seen in years. "I absolutely love it!" he grabs Max, squeezing him tightly. "You're the best little buddy I could ever have asked for! Thank you so much!" Max smiled and let Sam hug him despite the fact he was having trouble breathing. "O-okay, I think that's enough!" Sam let him go. "Oops, sorry." Max smiled. "Put it on!" Sam nods and takes the other one off, putting the max one on and looking in the mirror. Max gasped. "Oh my god Sam, that's the best looking tie you've ever worn!" Sam blushes and turns to him. "Hehe, I agree." Max grabs Sam by the tie and pulls him down for a quick kiss, causing him to blush.

"It's like I can't NOT kiss you when you're looking this fine."
