Sam walks into the office with a groan.

Max, who had been sitting at his desk while playing with a knife, looked up at him. "Ruff day?" Sam nods, walking over to the couch and sitting down. "We all have 'em." Max says, putting his knife away.

He got up and walked over. "What happened?" Sam glances at him. "Well, I was out walking around, and I saw this really cute girl in the park." Max's ears twitch a bit out of jealousy, but he remains composed. "Yeah?" Sam sighs. "So, I went over to talk to her, but... I let my words get ahead of me, and..." he covers his face. "She got weirded out and left."

Max sits next to him. "Dang, that's rough." Sam nods " I'm terrible at talking to women..." Sam says, putting his hands down. Max thinks. "Hmmm..."

Then he gets an idea. "I know!" " he looks at Sam. "Practice on me!" Sam blushes a bit, looking at him. "W-what?" Max giggles. "They say you get better with practice, right? So maybe if you practiced your lines on me, you'd get better at flirting with actual girls!" Max says with a grin.

Sam thinks for a bit, then smiles. "That actually sounds like a good idea." He looks to max. "How uncharacteristically smart of you!" Max giggles and swats the air. "Oh you flatterer."

Max then shifts to face Sam better. "Okay, pretend I'm a girl. What's your opening line?"

Sam clears his throat, then straightens his tie. "Hey there, you look super pretty today! I don't suppose you'd wanna walk with me, would you...?" he says. Max smiles, tilting his head. "That's it?" Sam looks away. "Well I don't want to give 'em a lame pick up line to open with.." Max giggles. "Fair point."

He thinks, then scoots closer. "Just out of curiosity though, what is your best pick up line?" he asks. Sam thinks for a moment, then takes a breath. "Hey girl, are you a fudgesicle? Cause you're super sweet!" he says with awkward finger guns.

Max laughs. "Well geez, it's no wonder you're still a virgin." he says. Sam blushes and crosses his arms, looking at the floor. "Well maybe I'd have better luck with women if i didn't get all tongue tied around attractive people..."

Max crosses his arms as well and turns away. "Well, I'M attractive, and you don't get tongue tied around me!" Sam snorts. "Well, that's because I've known you since you learned to walk." Max looks back at him. "Your point?" Sam smirks a bit. "No offense, but I wouldn't exactly call you 'attractive' lil pal." he says.

Max gasps in horror, pretending to clutch at a pearl necklace. "Well I never!" he turns away again. "I'm more attractive than you! You've never even kissed more than 1 girl!"

Sam rolls his eyes. "Neither have you, bonehead. First time you kissed a girl you threw up right after." max shudders, remembering. "Well THAT was because the girl was a lousy kisser and tried to excavate my mouth with her tongue." he cringes. "It was the worst." Sam snorts. "No wonder they called her 'tongue-a-rico'.'' Max giggles. "Yeah, probably better than kissing you though."

Sam freezes, then looks at him. "What...?" Max smiles. "You heard me, you're probably an awful kisser."

Sam then looks a little offended. "Wha- why would you say that...?" Max gives a smug grin. "Well why did you think the girls never talked to you after your first kiss with them? You scared them away with your dog breath!" he laughs. "And besides, your hands were probably really shaky and awkward when you were holding their waist," he says, laughing.

Sam frowns, not saying anything. Max leans back on the couch. "Man, Sam, if you had kissed ME back then, I would have washed my mouth out with soap." he says with a little giggle.

Sam then gets an idea.

"What about now?" he says. Max opens one eye. "What?" Sam scoots closer. "What about if i kissed you now, hmm? Would you still wanna wash out your mouth with soap?" max giggles. "Well DUH, sam. With all the junk food you eat, your maw is probably a garbage dump by now!"

Sam smirks again, gently taking hold of Max's waist. "Hehe, your mouth needs a good cleaning anyways..."

Max nervously smiles. "W-woah, hey there big guy, i was just joking..." Sam gently holds Max as he leans in. "No you weren't." he says softly.

A blushing Max starts to sweat, trying to push him off. "Sam, really, you don't have to- mmh!"

As soon as Sam pressed his warm lips against Max's, all resistance melted out of him, and he closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around Sam as far as he could reach.

Their lips moved in tandem, warmth and joy filling their hearts. Sam ran his gentle yet firm hands over Max's soft, furry back as maxs ear slowly moved to form the shape of a heart.

Heaven couldn't possibly be better than this.

As they pull back after a while, they open their eyes, blushing. They stare at each other for a few moments, breathless.

"Wow..." Max finally says. "Maybe I underestimated you..." he smiles a little. Sam blushes and smirks. "Hate to say I told ya so." he then thinks. "Actually I don't."

Max giggles. "Still... i don't think it was as good as it could have been..." he looks at him a little evilly. "Wanna try again~?"

Sam smiles. "Why not? I could use some more practice..." he says, leaning back in for another kiss.

Their lips met once again, passionate feelings bubbling up in both their chests. Max gently bites Sam's lower lip, causing him to jump a bit. That causes Max to pull back abruptly. "S-sorry, was that too much...?" Sam smiles a bit. "O-oh no.. you just... caught me off guard..."

Max giggles. "I guess we both need a bit of practice..." Sam nods. "Yeah..." he then leans into Max's ear and whispers, "although, i guess i was practicing for the wrong reason..." max shivers a bit. "What do you mean?" Sam leans back and smiles.

"Who needs girls when I have you?"
