Walked Through Hell - Anson Seabra

New York
2023

As though nothing had happened, you're back. In the same place, the same position. You don't know how, but the ground is somehow wet even though it hadn't been a second ago. The sun seems dimmer and air is colder. There's no sight of your attacker. In fact you barely see anyone. Your bag is gone, so you assume he must have taken it and run.
You crawl so that you're now sitting, and pull your coat around you tightly. You stay in the foetal position for the next few minutes crying behind a dumpster. The only reason you stop is due to the growing sound of traffic and shouting coming from the street. When you walk out, still with a puffy face and bloodshot eyes, cars are strewn across the road as people aporate randomly on both sides of the street.
You have no idea what's happening. You guess it's related to the attack on New York the day before but you have no idea what to think right now. You just stand, in the middle of the road and watch, as the world in front of you seems to fall apart once again.
