The A Team - Ed Sheeran
Before bed, you both grabbed a quick shower (individually) to wash the travelling feeling off. When you get out to the bedroom, Bucky's sat up in the bed just staring into space. You try to make it seem as though you haven't noticed his distant behaviour, and instead climb in next to him and start talking about plans.
Y/n
"So I don't know if you wanted to do some sightseeing at some point, but we're supposed to be having dinner at my parents house the day before we leave. Other than that it's all flexible."
He looks over at you with a slightly confused expression.
Bucky
"You know I've been here before right?"
Y/n
"No, when was that?"
He smiles with a little bit of smugness thrown in. Since you both learnt a lot about each other from the internet, it's always nice to hear things from one another's mouths rather than a computer.
Bucky
"1943, This is where I was shipped out with my first orders."
You genuinely had no idea he'd ever been to London. This takes a lot of pressure off of you however, as you thought that being in an unfamiliar place might make it worse, not better for him.
As you talk, you both settle so that your head is lying on his chest and he wraps his arm round you, his hand resting on your rib cage.
Y/n
"You realise that means that you knew my home town before I did?"
He huffs as you nestle in closer to your final position.
Bucky
"I did a lot of things before you were born y/n, we may not want to start naming them all."
Slowly but surely, you both fall asleep in each other's arms. Peaceful, and at ease.
