Love On The Brain - Rihanna

As the night goes on, you and Bucky have talked non stop. During the speeches and performances you give each other little looks out of the corner of your eyes. You feel yourself blush every time but you don't care. This is the first time you've felt anything for Bucky other than friendship or frustration. Now you feel, butterflies. Good butterflies. Even when Sam goes up to be given the shield officially, you and Bucky are side eyeing one another.

Eventually, the evening reaches its final stage and the tables are moved to the edges of the hall to make room for a dance floor. You've never been much of a dancer when it came to clubs and parties. The nonsensical jumping around was just a little too excitable for your liking. However, you do like to dance. Especially with a partner.

Last Call - Hudson Thames

You're sitting next to each other talking, whilst watching Sam and Sarah dance. When there's a natural break in the conversation, you stand up and offer Bucky your hand.

Y/n
"Wanna show me how they did it in the 40s?"

He laughs as he shakes his head and looks down.

Bucky
"Ha, yeah... I don't think so..."

You know he's just being shy, so you decide to toy with him.
You sit down abruptly and smile.

Y/n
"Wha- oh. That's fine, I get it."

You wink at him to show you understand.

Bucky
"What?"

Y/n
"It's fine honestly, most guys can't dance."

You cross your legs and look back at the people dancing round the room. He turns to face you, almost offended that you'd even suggest such a thing.

Bucky
"What? No, I can dance!"

You turn your head and smile smugly. Slowly, you stand back up and offer your hand again.

Y/n
"Prove it."

He reluctantly takes your hand as you walk backwards towards the floor.
