Virgil's legs were on fire, he was walking for hours. Here he was, wandering aimlessly through the forest with nowhere to go

In his hands was a small letter addressed to him, his first and only boyfriend was forced to leave him for reasons unknown to the boy

Down on his luck and broke, Virgil got kicked out of his small apartment. Motels and hotels couldn't take him so he went to the woods on the outskirts of town, finding a cave to spend the night

In the middle of the night, a familiar voice talked to him in his dreams. Until Virgil woke up, seeing Forest Green Eyes lighting up the darkness of the cave

"You're the prettiest person on the planet"

Virgil reached around for his flashlight, flicking the switch to see his boyfriend again with no success

"Why did you leave me?"

"Complicated business but hold still"

"Wha - "

Virgil awoke, feeling soft fabric under him and covering him. His eyes caught the light from the window, not understanding why he immediately hid himself

He heard a chuckle as arms wrapped around his waist, making Virgil immediately feel warm

"You'll get used to it, Princess"

"Ro?"

"Surprise"

Virgil turned around, seeing those familiar Forest Green Eyes again. He gave Roman a giant hug, starting to cry

What's wrong? Why are you crying?

We're together again, I missed you

{Roman}
As did I, I'm very sorry why I had to leave you

You said it was complicated business

It is, but long story short, I'm a Vampire. Not just any Vampire, but The Vampire King, meaning I had to lots of boring royalty things which unfortunately meant that I had to leave you during that time. I was a Prince when we met and I was preparing to be King while I was away from you, but now I need a Queen

Obviously, I just don't turn a human into a Vampire for nothing
