Chapter: Sixty-Four

I woke up to the feeling of Mattie poking me. I raised an eyebrow, looking up at her with squinched eyes.

"What are you doing?"

"Waking you up."

"That I can see. Why?"

"Because Lily demanded it."

"That's right." I jumped, not realizing Lily was in here.

"What are you doing?" I questioned, looking over at her.

"I'm bored and we don't have classes today, so we're going shopping."

"Pregnant, sleeping," Megan replied, rolling over in bed and pulling the covers over her head.

"Fine will wait an hour then," Lily relented.

"Yeah, an hour," she agreed.

"Well, it really doesn't look like she's getting up until that hour is up," Mattie noticed.

"Yeah, let's go get some breakfast until she gets ready," Lily advised.

"You really want to leave the pregnant girl out?" Mattie continued, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, bring her back something," Megan mumbled, giving a thumbs up from under the covers.

We headed down to the cafeteria, and Mattie texted Max and Jay to join us. I was curious as to where everyone else was. I hadn't gotten a text from Niles this morning, and I missed him already. I also didn't know Liam's whereabouts.

Where's Zeke this morning?" I questioned, hoping her answer could give me some indications about where the other ones were.

"He and Loui took a trip this morning and they'll be back later this evening," she answered.

"Those guys are always making trips," Jay commented. Yeah, he had no idea.

"We're busy guys," I heard Niles say from behind us. Lily moved over to allow him to sit between us.

"Thank you," he replied.

"No problem." I relaxed upon having him beside me and I was reminded again of how dependent I was on him.

"You going to eat?" I questioned.

"I'm fine. I'll eat later." I looked down at my own food with a frown. Maybe I shouldn't be eating. I started to push my food away when he put his hand over mine.

"Eat," he advised with a soft smile.

"You should eat," I suggested.

"You really want me to?"

"Yes," I said, leaning on his shoulder.

"Only if you finish your food."

"I will."
