Chapter: Eighty-Six
"Wake up, sleepyhead."
"Niles?" I questioned.
"Not quite."
"Liam?"
"No, love."
"What?" I opened my eyes and nearly fell back off the bed at the person staring down at me.
"Louis!"
Apparently, he thought that was the funniest thing ever because he chuckled, then flat out laughed so hard he was about to fall off the bed. Angrily, I smacked him, which only made him get louder.
"You hit like a girl."
"Scaring me is not funny!"
"Sorry, but I couldn't resist," he said, wiping fake tears from his eyes.
"Would you like to explain to me where my boyfriend is and why you're here instead of him?"
"Geez, it's not like that offended me or anything, darling. "
"Sorry, but when I went to bed, I was with Niles and not you."
"Lucky my feelings don't get hurt easily. Anyway, he left this morning on an official mission."
"A mission?" I said in worry.
"Relax love. Not a mission from Victor."
"Then what kind of mission?" I pressed, staring at him curiously.
"Picking up something for Marksan's."
"Why would he need to do that? Doesn't Greg or Tamron usually do that?"
"Yes, but this was something only for Niles," he smirked.
"What does that mean?"
"You'll see later. Anyway, I would recommend you getting dressed soon."
"Why?"
"Because when your boyfriend gets back he's taking you to your mums."
"So, did he ask you to come wake me up?"
"No, I sort of volunteered. He was going to let you sleep in."
"Yeah, well, it is nine now."
"I consider sleeping in two."
"I don't," I said, getting off the bed.
"You did have a rough time last night. You deserve to sleep in."
"I slept great, but now I don't think I can sleep anymore."
"I know you're going to ask, so I'll go ahead and tell you Jay and Mattie are fine. They ended up not drinking a thing."
"Really?" I exclaimed in relief.
"Okay, maybe I lied a wee bit. They both drank a but neither got drunk. Just got buzzed."
