[Edgar's pov]

Woke up tired, as always.

I ate some bread I bought earlier this week then I left for work. My muscles still hurt from last night's workout. When I entered Starr Park, someone tapped on my shoulder. "Heeyyy Ed! Any plans for today's training?" Of course, that's Colette. "Um, not really." Yep I cancel my plans I made yesterday. That won't really help me. "Oh that's great!" She grinned. "Maybe we can go to Mortis' house for training! And maybe we'll be able to play some friendly game!"

I raised an eyebrow. "Friendly game?"

Colette chuckled and poked my nose. "You are dumb, Edgar. That's a match that you can play for training, but all the rules are the same as the battles in Brawl Stars." She explained. I nodded in understand.

"Okie, let's get work!" She smiled.

[After work.]
6 pm. Another boring day. At least I'll get the chance to taste the feeling of battling.

Colette brought me to the haunted house, and after turning rounds, we saw Mortis drinking tea on a fancy table, crossed legged. "Hey, you two again." He greeted us and offered, "What would you like to have today?"

Colette said, "A friendly game!" She grinned as Mortis stood up and nodded.

When we were walking, Mortis started, "Well, both of you haven't really find your own way to battle and super yet. Maybe we can play a few matches for you to have a goal on how to work on it."

He then brought us to a showdown match. "Alright, you two will be a team and the other four teams will all be bots. Colette, don't get too excited. They won't give you autographs. Okay let's keep going. You will be exploring the map and try to kill all the others..." He explained all the rules and I was already too excited to speak. I could feel my scarf hit me on the back. He's ready.

Suddenly, Colette and I were transformed into a whole different place, with walls, bushes, bones and boxes.

Get the boxes first. My mind told me. I ran to a box, and before I punched it, my scarf made a few quick movements and the power cube fell out. "You wanna be my main attack, huh?" I said, and my scarf waved. Yes he does. I nodded and I kept on dashing towards boxes while my scarf kept breaking all the boxes.

Am I missing something?

Shit. Colette.

Just then, I heard a scream.

"Ahhh help!" That's Colette.

Boom!

When I rushed there, she disappeared already.

Shelly killed Colette. Teammate will be back in 12, 11,10...

A voice said. The bot Shelly emotionlessly walked towards me and I saw the blue circle on her feet. One super and game over. I kept a distance and her teammate respond. Jessie. I'll screw her. My scarf tapped me on the back and I glanced at my feet. I got a super. Great. My scarf can reload super by itself.

I hid in the bush, but Shelly's team walked to the opposite direction. I sensed Jessie's step on the other side of the wall. Colette will be back in 4 more seconds. I breathed out, then jumped to Jessie. I can't help but scream, "Aghhhh!" When I got down, Colette was back. I ran to Jessie and my scarf beat her in a sharp move. I collected 2 more power cubes and Colette followed me behind.
