[Colette's pov]

It's been 2 weeks since my first win in Solo Showdown. Another Sunday! I thought as I bounced to Brawl Stars Match to spectate Edgar once again. I've heard he teamed with Byron and Poco this time, but Emz wasn't coming. And Poco and Emz were going smoothly. They've been dating for a few days and that sweet smile of hers never leave her.

Edgar easily won over the opponents again! What a star! I grinned as I saw him getting off the transporter, emotionlessly. We haven't talked much in a few weeks...well I talked a lot, but not Edgar. He's been even more quiet and that to be honest, wasn't pleasing to me.

Anyway, I waved goodbye to Edgar and bounced back home happily. Emz was at home, looking her phone and smiling a lot, probably texting her sweet boyfriend.

"Eyyyy Emz! How're you and your man, huh?" I teased and her faced turned into a tomato and I knew that I hit the spot.

"Well, um.." She nervously laughed and looked at me, begging me to stop.

I giggled and sat next to her as she quickly turned off her phone with a guilty smile.

"Ya okay?" I asked, with a concerned tone.

"Oh...I'm fine...it's just that Mortis had been kinda weird recently..." She said.

"May I know about this?" I asked, hoping she'll tell me.

"But didn't you notice as well?" Emz doubted.

"Well...I did. He's been...awfully quiet as well, just like Ed." I said, but I had no idea what's going on.

"Alright, I think that's enough. You want to eat anything?" Emz suggested and I aggressively nodded my head.

[Emz' pov]

"Alright, I think that's enough. You want to eat anything?" I asked, and Colette grinned.

"Anythinggggg?" She said, tilting her head playfully.

"Anything for my cute girl." I chuckled.

"Even THE honey pancake with a certain look AND hot chocolate?" She said, blinking exaggeratedly.

"Sure, I'll get going then!" I smiled and she hugged me within a second.

"Awww thank you so much Emz!" She smiled and I walked to the kitchen.

"I'll get my scrapbook done, see ya!" She said and hopped back to her room.

I sighed as I walked pin the kitchen. My mind sometimes still stayed at that moment.

[flash back to one month ago, when Edgar and Colette had finished their Brawl Ball, walking back home.]

Mortis slight touched my shoulder and I turned around and saw him with a serious face.

"Emz, don't ever let Edgar be close to Colette...he won't do no good." He said. Then he told me everything about that day, when Colette came back with a confused look. "Ed ignored me alllll day.." she sighed.

"Uncle! That's why he's like this? YOU are the reason that made her sad! Don't you know her feelings towards Edgar?" I slightly scolded this bat-man and let out a small and frustrated groan.

"Colette, Edgar, Mortis and I are going to have a talk...about some personal stuff. See you!" I pulled away Mortis and back to his house.

"Mortis, you cannot trust Edgar? Why?" I started it straight forward.

"Edgar left her just BECAUSE OF A STUPID ALARM CLOCK! He didn't even care!" Mortis said, not backing down.

"He comes back for apologize! They...Colette loves him, you don't understand?" I shouted lightly, but Mortis didn't seem to care.
