[Edgar's pov]
3rd, December. Time flies.
I suddenly realized it's been a few months since I worked here. Wow. How did I even managed to get to this stage?
I woke up on this boring Monday, freshened up myself then got to the gift shop. Colette...she tried to find me multiple times, but I ignored her. Somehow it didn't feel right. Anyway, it'll be better. I'll get used to it. We..we're nothing.
After becoming a brawler, felt like my world was a bit better. From once a week, to twice a week, to thrice a week, to now, almost there everyday.
I turned on my earphone and started working again, which was basically sitting there, doing nothing.
"Edgar good morning!! You'll see me being crazy like this for the whole weeeeek!" Colette bursted into the door and giggled. I haven't seen her smile like this for a while. It wasn't bad...
I rolled my eyes, pretending not hearing her. Then I leaned on the counter and sighed. I really hope someone could cancel Monday. The shop started soon, and Colette got out of the shop to find customers again. I listened to the same album for the I-do-not-know-how-many times again and sang with it in my head.
"Total of 48.91 dollars, thanks." I said and the customer handed me the money with a big smile on her face.
My mind sometimes still thought about Colette, and it won't do no good for anyone of us. I groaned when it finally got to lunch time.
Eating my bread, I looked up the sky and saw many grey clouds. It's December. Shouldn't be much rain, I suppose? I shrugged off the idea of picking up an umbrella from home, plus I didn't have enough time. I sighed and took a deep breath after looking at my watch, realizing I've been zooming out again.
Some. More. Boring. Work.
At least I could play Siege later today.
Hours passed, and it came to the end of the work. Colette yelled "Goodbye" at me as I packed my bag. Locking up the door, I went straight to Brawl Stars Match.
It was freezing outside, but that didn't freeze me from the match. I still did the things I did, jumping and bullying the non-brawlers, and killed as much as possible. It felt nice to forget about everything and just focused on the match. One win, two wins...maybe this will be my last match.
"Damn it." I cursed quietly as both of my teammates were stupid non-brawlers while the opponents were all well-trained brawlers. It was awfully stupid. They didn't even know how to collect the pieces to make the robot, and all went straight to death. And...yeah, we lost, of course.
Okay this is really going to be my last match.
Teammate was a non-brawler and also Surge, while the opponent was Max. He didn't dare to kill his best friend and both didn't kill each other. I sighed in defeat as Surge hit me with his juice and sat there, doing nothing. I carried all by myself and ended up losing again.
C'mon just one more win and I'll be satisfied...
Leon and Bibi. Probably because of the problem as we were against Piper, a non-brawler and Jessie, we could hardly get close to them for a kill. After getting back again for the 7th time, Bibi teased me. "Konichi-whack, Edgar! Mr. Bat says you're lame." She laughed as Leon rolled his eyes and assassinated Piper. "Psss. I could do this if I wanted to." I said while trying to attack Jessie, only ended up getting killed by her robot scrappy. "Say hello to my little friend!" She laughed.
Awful.
The another match wasn't much good either. Leon teamed with me but the non-brawler in our team was stupid as hell. Barley and Tick were in the same team but only I could do something as Leon was always being trapped by the poisoned drinks. Nita, on the other side, always had her bear and she always found ways to tease the non-brawler.
