[Edgar's pov]
Days after days, and nights after nights, it's July. 14th of July, another normal Friday.
Riiiiiiing.
"When...what?" I opened my eyes wide and blinked a few times as I saw the alarm clock. 5:20. Geez, I set the clock wrong again. Well at least I didn't over-sleep..
Whatever, I'll just wake up, I guess.
Although I still felt tired, I chose to wake up anyways, since it's always better to be too early than to be too late. I tried to eat slow and prepared slow on purpose, and failed, of course. It's only 6:30, which meant it's still early as hell. Getting nothing to do at home, I decided to just find something to listen to while I painted my nails again.
Slowly, it's almost 7:10 am. I guess it's not too early if I set off to work.
Ding.
I raised an eyebrow, who the frick would text me at 7 in the morning?
Well, Colette. Of course.
C: [voice message: Good morning Ed...um, nothing. I just wanna say that I'm so excited for tonight's firework show! Hahaha!]
Her morning voice is just adorable. I could listen to her talking all day long.
C: [voice message: Whadda ya think it's gonna be about? The Brawl Pass theme was being late again...Wait...OH I'M GONNA BE LATE AGAIN!]
She tried her best not to scream at the top of her lungs, but her gasped was still obvious.
C: [voice message: I gotta go, see ya at woooork!]
She chuckled at the end of the voice message. I couldn't help but smile as I imagined Colette waking up with her messy hair and sleepy face while rubbing her eyes. It's one of the purest thing I've ever seen, and that happened like, only twice or 3 times since she usually wouldn't let me see the messy side of her.
Alright, let's go.
I grabbed my daily things needed and along with my backpack, I got out of my house. Locking the door, I turned to walk to Starr Park.
About that drunk case, very luckily, most of the citizens were just gossipy and stupid. They kinda realize we're a thing now, but many well...boys and girls refused to believe that we're taken. It spread in the town for like, a few days, and then they stopped once there were more fun and competitive rumors. I guess that's just how the world works, only seeking for the fun part and the drama, but never the truth.
Then I eventually got to Starr Park.
Unlocking the door of the gift shop , well, of course nobody was inside. I casually stocked something while my earphone was already playing music. I hope today could just pass soon and goes to the nights.
After around 20 minutes of staying in the gift shop alone, it's almost 8 am. A few minutes before it. Colette hadn't shown up yet.
She's probably gonna be close to late again...sighing, I suddenly remembered the voice messages that Colette sent me early this morning. Uh...no one could blame me for taking a rest after preparing, right? Even though nobody else was in the room, I still carefully looked around before clicking into the voice messages again.
Her voice sounds cute...
I looked outside of the window from the gift shop. Colette was probab-
"Hiiiiii Ed!"
And there she was, bursting into the door as she breathed heavily, again. I immediately clicked off the app and turned to Colette awkwardly, "H-hey Cole."
