Today, the day of the championship.

Waking up around 8 am, I painted my nails and found some new music before having breakfast at a restaurant. Then around 9:20, I went to Brawl Stars Match. It would be Championship Special and many people would be spectating, since there wasn't many times when the championship starts at Christmas Eve.

I got there and it was almost 10 am, and I met Byron there.

"So, any ideas?" Byron started.

"Uh, wait for Stu first."

Stu, being the one who was always late, came at around 10:30 am, and luckily we still had some time before the first match started.

"So basically we won't be really chaotic if we follow our plans. Just try your best, mates." Byron smiled, and made the conclusion.

11:50 am. 10 minutes before and I could feel my stomach fill with butterflies. My scarf kept hitting me at the back and I felt awfully nervous. The last time I felt this nervous was when I played the first match in my life, the Solo Showdown. The maps are Gem Grab, Siege, Brawl Ball, Heist and Hot Zone...

Lost in my thoughts, I looked around to find....her.

Will Colette be here...?

No way. You didn't even tell her, you stupid.

I sighed as my nerve didn't leave me alone.

"Alright, 3 minutes left. Let's get in now." Byron said and lead us to the transporter which was now decorated with jingle bells and fake snow.

As we were transferred to the Gem Grab map, I couldn't help but gulped. 3 chances of losing and 15 matches to win...My thoughts got crazy until Byron patted my shoulder.

"Hey, it's going to be fine, Edgar. Just present your normal self and it won't be hard, k?" Byron looked at me like a father, and I felt a litter better. I nodded and took a breath.

Do it for myself...

Or for her.

The map was Double Swoosh. The best team would probably be Rosa, Poco and Tara or Emz.

Finally, the voice started.

I clicked the gadget the second the match started, and went straight into the bushes, while Byron and Stu were trying to shoot the opponents, which were Piper, Gene, and...I didn't know.

"S-spin to-oo wi-in ba-bby!" Stu killed Piper with his gadget and did a little spin. As Gene was going to pull him with his super, I dashed out and pushed away Stu, which ended up pulling me to Gene's side. "Huwaaahahaha!" Gene giggled as I was vanished immediately after getting pulled into the bush. The third one is Tara. "Hmmhmhmmm!" Tara smiled as she hugged Gene quickly.

Coming back 5 seconds later, I ran to Piper and jumped right into her and made a clean kill. This time, Tara pulled and Stu and I and we both disappeared again, even though Byron was trying his best to heal us. His super was just 1 second late to give to us, but successfully damaged both Tara and Gene quite much.

The second time I was back, I got into the enemies' bushes secretly, and searched carefully...until I heard noises ahead of me. Now. I dashed towards Tara once she left the bush and my scarf punched her before she could notice, but she quickly clicked her gadgets and 3 of her clones tried to cut me, but my scarf beat them in a second or 2. Tara's eyes gone wide but I didn't wait to kill her within a second.
