[Emz' pov]

"Colette, I swear to God, can you just give me back my laptop?" I groaned frustratedly. It's been 2 days since Colette had been sick and she just wouldn't rest normally. She borrowed my laptop all the time and kept on working on something she called "very important", and all I saw was a bunch of papers and she would be writing letters all day long.

"Just 5 more minutes!" Colette frowned as she kept typing something in my laptop.

"For the love of your hair, just sleep! It's literally 6 in the morning! Would you just sleep and rest? Edgar would take care of the work..." I sighed as she ignored me.

"Did you just hit your puberty again? C'mon girlie don't look at me with your moody pout." I walked into her room and sat down at her bed. "I know it's a hard year for you to work in Starr Park...but I think you've been working too much..."

"The gift shop is my everything, Emz..." Colette frowned. "I can't let it die..."

"Colette, it's not dying. Nothing is dying here except for your mood. Your world won't crumble even if the park goes worse, c'mon where's my hopeful Cole?" I tried to cheer her up and gave her a bar of chocolate. "Eat something?"

Finally, she stopped and turned off the laptop. She then took the bar of chocolate in my hand, moving it to her desk. I'm so concerned...she isn't fine at all... "The future seems blurry?"

"...yeah." Colette's eyes began filling with tears. "W-what if Starr Park only gets worse until it's gonna be close forever? What if I'm never gonna recover? What if the sun doesn't shine? What if Edgar finds someone better?"

"Woah woah Colette...you think way toooooo far away." I patted her shoulder as I handed some tissue to her. "First, everyone and everything go through a low phase, but that doesn't mean they'll go to the grave with tears. Secondly, you're just overworking. Take some serious rest and love yourself more, it's gonna be fine. Thirdly, the cycle of the sun and the moon forger balances, just like there's always the brightest rainbow after the longest rain. And fourth, if Edgar ever leaves you, no he won't find anyone better. I'll bring him to the grim reaper."

Colette chuckled and sniffed, "Thanks Emz...I can't imagine a life without you."

"See? The gift shop IS important, but that's not your everything. I'm here, and Edgar is also by your side. Don't say dumb things like that, okay?" I smiled and pulled her into my embrace, rubbing her back.

"It's okay to cry...but don't let the same thing break you twice. The future is more simple than you expected." I stated. "Sometimes the only reason we're afraid, is that we make too much hypothesis that doesn't even make sense."

"Ya right...I'm gonna sleep, I think." She pulled off form the hug and yawned eventually.

"Mhm, I'll take the laptop from now. Just get some sleep and I'm not going to let you have breakfast until 10 am." I said and acted like a strict mother.

She laughed, "Okaaaaay! I'll be a good girl, momma."

"God how old are you?" I giggled.

"5!"

"Alright alright my 19 friend that's forever acting 5. Sweet dreams." I chuckled and quietly walked out of Colette's room, closing the door behind me.

I hope she's not sneaking up to write letters again...she's been acting so unusual recently..

[Edgar's pov]

"Um, so she still won't be back today?" I asked with a sigh, knowing exactly the answer.
