[Edgar's pov]
A week before March.
Once again, I got into the gift shop, seeing Colette writing something in her notebook, frowning. "Hey Ed, do you have any idea for the structure of The Blossom Season? It isn't really big, but there are a LOT of things in the zone..."
I sighed, closing the door behind me and stocked some drinks. "Seriously, Cole, your only job is to decorate the gift shop, not the whole Starr Park...why are you even taking part in helping with the new zone?" I took 2 energy drinks and gave one to Colette.
She laughed after taking a sip from the drink, "Well it's fun! And I love helping others, so why not?" Then she continued in sketching.
I rolled my eyes and walked to the counter, putting down my backpack. "You're overworking again. You need to help yourself too."
Colette snorted and closed her note book, nodding. "Ya right. And I'm going to help myself to feel good by helping some more people!" She grinned.
Another long sigh, I thought for a bit while kept stocking things. Find a way to help...Uhh...
"We haven't been playing Brawl Stars for a while. Wanna come tonight?" I suggest casually. Colette hasn't been playing for another whole month.
"Hm, yeah you're right, always. So we'll go after work?" Colette asked with an excited smile.
"Mhm." Finally I've done all the drinks part. I put the empty boxes aside. "And don't take about The Blossom Season at that time, just focus on Brawl Stars, k?"
Colette giggled and put her finger-crossed. "Promise!"
So, the work started.
[9 hours later.]
I still got an hour before the work would be done, looping the new album from Bad Randoms. "Total of 320 dollars with a discount. Thanks." I grabbed a large plastic bag and put everything that the customer bought. He murmured a "thanks" and turned to leave.
There were quite a lot of customers today and it was not too bad. At least I got something to keep myself busy.
"Total of 77 dollars, thanks."
"Here is the gift that you exchanged with the ticket."
"Ma'am, just one more dollar and there's a discount. You sure you don't want it?"
These kind of words had been repeating from my mouth for a thousand times. Just let it be over soon...
"Excuse me, you're Edgar from Brawl Stars, right?"
I woke from my thoughts, and saw a black-skinned woman standing in front of me. Her purple hair had some messy leaves and following next to her was a younger woman, who was wearing a bee-like helmet. They looked familiar...but not exactly who I remembered.
"Uh..yes? Do you need anything?" I asked, not knowing what to do.
She smiled gently, "Well, yeah. I want half of a dozen of energy drinks. Here." She said. I nodded and grabbed the 6-packs that were close to me. She gave me to money and I handed her the drinks and the receipt, but she didn't seem to leave.
"I guess you don't really remember me, huh?" She asked with a smile. I raised an eyebrow at her, "Well...it felt like we've met before, but I don't really remember..."
"It's okay." She laughed. "Let me introduce myself again. I'm Rosa, or in some way, people call me doctor Rosa. I study biology and have a few plants inventions. I guess you might as well have seen Bea? She studies animals."
