I smiled as it had been about four months since I left the Olympic Coven and the Cullen name behind me. Emma and I had really gotten to know one another. She is an amazing writer. I don't know why her father told her she wasn't good at it. She had told me that her mother was also a writer and had a few books published and that she wanted to follow in her mothers steps. "I think that is an amazing idea. Your work is great." I told her one day as we sat in her apartment.
I found out that she was 18 and had moved out the moment she turned 18 as she couldn't stand to be around Bella and Renee as they would always try to get money out of her. Her father started to treat her differently as she refused to accept Renee and Bella as her new mother and sister. She moved to Florida to get away from them but within three months of her moving her father and Renee were there on her doorstep, looking for a place to stay.
Bella had called her demanding that I talk to her and tell her where everyone was at and how to get a hold of them. I chuckled and told her that she would never be important to me and I would never tell her anything. That Emma would be like us before she would ever be. That sent her into a rage as she screamed and yelled that she was special and how Edward couldn't read her mind and how he loved her. I knew that would change once he saw Emma. But didn't want her to know that her step-sister was his true mate.
I still talked to Demetri and I felt an even stronger pull to him. Emma asked if we could be in love with each other and that is why we are always on the phone or texting. I looked at her shocked as I never thought about us being mates. I wondered if he felt the same thing as I did, but I was too scared to ask him.
When I told her that I was planning on traveling for a few months she smiled as she wanted to come with me. I agreed but told her that it would only be for a month as I was going to meet Demetri. She had only ever been to Arizona and Florida and she wanted to get out and see the world. We went all over in a month's time. Paris, Roma, China, and Japan. We were just about to get on a plane to Greece when my brother called me. I rolled my eyes as I hadn't taken any calls for any of them since I left. I wanted time to be free. Find myself and be happy without them trying to stop me. He didn't even know about Emma. And I wasn't about to tell him as he would stop me from being friends with her.
"Yes! Big brother?" I asked as I watched over Emma. Making sure that the Vampire following us didn't try anything.
"Where are you?" He asked as I sighed at him. What do they want now? I thought to myself.
"I am fine. I am in Paris and I am headed to Greece." I said as he sucked in a breath. I looked at my phone funny. I rolled my eyes at my phone before placing it back to my ear.
"I need to tell you something and it will make you hate me. But it will explain why we have all acted weird around you." He said as I moved closer to the vampire that was stalking my only friend.
"Hold on big brother!" I said as I put the phone in my pocket and grabbed the vampire by the throat and moved us to an empty alie. "It's not nice to stock a lady!" I said as my eyes changed from yellow to black. "Especially one that is my Friend!" I growl out, setting him on fire. I smiled as I watched him burn. I walked back to Emma as she smiled at me. I laughed as she had no clue what I just did. "Now what do you want to tell me, Emmett?" I said as I took the phone back. Emma looked at me shocked as I said my brother's name.
"Before all the stuff happened with Amber... When Alice first joined the coven she had a vision of you and your mate." He said as I was confused. "He took you away from me and Rosalie. He took you to the Volturi coven where they used you for your powers." He said and now I was pissed at my mate and my brother. Even more so at Alice.
"You have known this for over 50 years? And you are only telling me this now?" I asked as I was pissed but still in shock.
"I was trying to protect you. Mads... You're my baby sister. After I found you that night I swore to myself that I would never let another man hurt you. And that is what your mate will do to you!" He said as I could hear Rosalie telling someone to shut up and that it was about time I knew the truth.
"Who is my mate?" I asked in a very demanding tone.
"Demetri Volturi. The tracker." He said and I about dropped my phone. The guy I had been talking to was my mate. He knew and didn't tell me. Is that why he wanted to know about my powers... Is that why he was so determined to meet me? I was pissed as I wanted answers to why he would lie to me. Why did he hide it from me?
"I need to tell you something big brother. I found Edward's true mate." I said as Emmett sighed. "She is alive. She is my friend. The first real one I have had since Alice and Jasper came into the picture." I said and that earned a few gasps from the Olympic coven. I knew they were surprised that I found her and didn't kill her.
"Where is she? Edward has a right to know her!" He asked as I chuckled at him.
"Wow... He has a right to know his mate but I don't have that right?" I asked as there was silence on the other end of the phone. "How fucked up is that? Edward will only hurt her for his blood slut!" I asked as I shook my head.
"She is with you?" He asked as I scoffed at him. "Does she know?" He asked as I smiled at Emma as she looked at the shops as we walked the airport.
"NO, She doesn't. And I am not going to tell you anything about her." I said as I smiled at her.
"Mads that is not fair to Edward!" Emmett said and I was hurt by that. "Shit I am sorry..." He said as I scoffed at him.
"You know it is funny how you all are mad that I am keeping Edward's mate from him but you all did the same thing to me. I will never tell you a single thing about her. Not her name, what she looks like... Nothing." I say, making my brother sigh at me. "Besides, she knows all about what you all have done to me." I said as there was another gasp
"You turned her against us?" I heard Alice say as I chuckled at her.
"She would have been against you once she found out that you and her mate are the reason for Blood and Betrayal. She is a huge fan of my work." I said with a smug smirk. "And she would have seen right through your pathice ass. Reading people is her specialty." I said as I heard someone growl and then something break before the phone went dead. I looked at it and shrugged.
