you hold your hand up to stop him, hunched over.
you stay like that for a moment, breathing out and standing up, "alright, i'm good"
he just blinks, "right.."
you look up, "oh, hello harry!"
he deadpans, you look over at the weasleys, "that was convenient but horrible"
harry nods, "we should head in"
you both step out of the water, grimacing you shake your feet.
but he looks over at you, "what happened to you?"
you look down at the slightly blood-soaked bandages, "uh.. i tripped over on the concrete"
he shakes his head.
you both walk over to the weasleys', stepping inside.
ginny ran over, hugging him as you just smile.
she gave you a small hug next.
"harry, [name]!" hermione shouts, hugging you both and then fussing over your bandages.
"what a lovely surprise!"
ron hugs harry and then just awkwardly nods at you, mrs. weasley was next, squeezing you both tightly.
"why didn't you let us know you were coming?"
"i didn't know, dumbledore"
you just nod.
"oh, that man! but then, what would we do without him?"
everyone looks over to ron and hermione as ron sticks a finger by her face, "got a bit of.. toothpaste"
you deadpan.
you all go up, sitting in a room.
himiko and crookshanks meow to each other on the railing outside.
"so when did you get here?" harry asks.
"a few days ago. though for a while, i wasn't sure if i was coming"
you tilt your head.
"mum sort of lost it last week. said ginny and i had no business going back to hogwarts. that it's too dangerous"
"oh, come on" harry says.
"she's not alone" hermione says back, "even my parents, and they're muggles, know something bad's happening"
"anyway, dad stepped in, told her she was being barmy and.. it took a few days, but she came around"
"but... this is hogwarts we're talking about. it's dumbledore. what could be safer?"
you breathe out, "i love hogwarts, i really do. but could you really consider our past 5 years there safe?"
hermione nods, "there's been a lot of talk recently that.. dumbledore's got a bit old"
a bit? isn't he like over 100?
"rubbish! well, he's only.. what is he?"
"hundred and fifty? give or take a few years" ron says, you all laugh, you cover your mouth with your hand.
