MajaI walked through the shop's doors seeing several people in the waiting area. I walked past the counter and headed toward the back like usual only for this woman to stop me.
I looked down at her as she crossed her arms blocking my way. She reached over grabbing an iPad. "Sign in and the next available artist will see you." The woman said with an attitude. "I—,"
"Yeah I'm sure whatever excuse you're about to say is totally legit but you still have to sign in. I looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Excuse me," I questioned.
The last female receptionist had left a bad taste in my mouth, and I was not in the mood. Before I could say anything Dimitri called my name. I looked up at him as he stood behind the woman.
"Maja!" He called again. "Your friend here tried to cut in line." The short lady said. My jaw clenched as I stared back at the woman.
"Thank you Nancy but Maja is family," Dimitri told her. "Oh," Nancy said.
"You would've known that had you let me speak." I snapped before Dimitri moved to push me toward his office. I continued to stare at Nancy as I was led away. "That's his kid's mom." I heard a voice say once she was out of view. "Shit," Nancy said.
"Nancy is small, so she tries to do the whole aggressive thing, so the guys don't mess with her," Dimitri explained as we reached his office. "How great for her. That doesn't mean she has to be rude." I said.
"Anyway, where's Sami?" I asked. "She's with Noel." He said. I nodded my head.
"Suspended. What happened? She's never been suspended." I said. "She got into a fight," Dimitri said. My mouth dropped. "Shut up, Seriously," I said. "Seriously. I think they said she broke something." He said.
My mouth dropped further. "Shut up!" I said again in complete disbelief. "Why were they fighting?" I asked. He rubbed the back of his neck with a stressed look on his face.
"Well?" I questioned. "Apparently the girl, she's a grade older than Sami, was repeating several names that she heard her mom use." He told me. "Which were?" I asked. His once-stressed face turned to one of annoyance. "Dimitri, I swear if you don't just say it." I snapped.
"Her mother has been referring to you and several other mothers as low-class loose women, who have no morals." He sighed as he spoke the last part. My mouth dropped. "What the hell?" I whispered.
"The principal and all the mothers involved want to have a meeting to discuss this situation." He added.
"Oh, we're definitely going to have a meeting. I don't even bother those other mothers and what type of insults are those. Those old ass church lady comments. I'll give her a new age ass whooping." I said crossing my arms. "Let's not do that." He said causing me to look at him.
"Sami's worried you're upset with her." He added. "I'm only upset that my child is going to be missing school because of some old big-mouthed heifer and her daughter," I said.
"We pay too much money for her to attend that school for her to be dealing with people like this," I added.
"I agree, but up until this point, the school has been amazing. We shouldn't make any decisions until we can sit down with the principal and the other parents." Dimitri said. "You're very calm," I said.
"Because Sami didn't do anything wrong. She was defending a friend and her family. Plus, my baby whooped that girl's ass." He said. I smiled just as there was a knock on the door. "Are you mad at me?" I heard Sami's small voice ask.
"Of course not," I said turning towards her. She rushed to me hugging me. I examined my baby and was pleasantly surprised to see she only had a few cuts.
