I was sitting in the bathroom washing my face with Sami sitting on the counter next to me as she told me about her day. "Can I talk to you two?" We both turned to see Angelo standing in the doorway. "Hi Gelo." Sami sang making him smile. "Hey munchkin, I don't want you to be mad, okay?" Angelo said. "Okay." She said tilting her head. "Or you." He said looking at me. "Go on." I said. "I have a business trip." He said. "When?" I asked. "I leave tomorrow morning for about a week." He said looking at both of us.

"How long have you known about this?" I asked as I moisturized my face. "About a week maybe two." He said with a childlike smile. "If you have something to do you're supposed to put it on the calendar. If you don't then you can't go." Sami said crossing her arms. I chuckled. "She has a point." I said. "I know I forgot. I found out during the trial." I glanced at him. "I don't like it." Sami pouted. Sami had gotten so used to having Angelo around that she hated when he left.

"With Gelo leaving you know what that means?" I asked her. "What?" She looked over at me. "You, Dem, and me will get to spend the entire week together. Just me and my babies." I said hugging her and kissing her face repeatedly. It took a second before she started laughing. "You mad at me munchkin?" Angelo asked Sami. "No, I'm just going to miss you." She said hugging him. "I know but Its only 5 days." He said holding his hand up. "And you can call me in the morning before you go to school and before bed, okay?" Angelo said. "Okay." She said nodding her head.

After eating and putting Sami to sleep I walked into my room where Angelo was lying across the bed. I grabbed one of the pillows and smacked him with it. "Aye!" He screamed before scooping me up and slamming me on the bed. "I see you're feeling a lot better now with your boot off." He said hovering over me. "Why did you wait until the day before to tell us you were leaving? Hmm?" I asked looking up at him.

"Because I wasn't sure how you would take it." He said. "It's for work why would I be mad. I'm just annoyed that you waited." "I was more worried that you'd be mad that Elaina would be coming." I looked at him. I rolled my eyes. "See that's the face I was expecting." He said rolling us over, so I was on top of him before he sat up. "What face? I'm not making a face." I said. "But you are." "I just don't like that girl. Something is off about her." I said. "You want me to tell Damon to send someone else instead?" I shook my head. "No, just keep an eye on her." "Okay, baby." He said. I kissed him before I got up. "Where are you going?" He asked grabbing my hand. "To take a shower." He stood pulling me to him. "Nope, not going to happen." I said shaking my head. "I don't know what you're talking about." He mumbled as he kissed on my neck. Over the past couple of days, Angelo has been a lot more affectionate. I wanted him but something was holding me back. I was just ready to be myself again whatever that was.

He wrapped his arms around me tight as he looked down at me. I shivered as I looked back at him taking in his green eyes. He kissed me for a minute or two before he let me go. "Go enjoy your shower." He said with a smirk. "I don't like you." I mumbled walking to the bathroom only to hear him laugh.

"Bye Gelo." Sami said as Maja and I stood outside her classroom. "I'll see you later Sami." I said hugging her before letting her go to Maja. "I'll see you this afternoon, little mama." Maja said kissing her cheek. "Okay, mommy." Sami said kissing her. "Go have fun." Maja said as she sat down as we watched as she ran off. I grabbed Maja's hand and led us out to the car. I opened her door and helped her get in before I walked over to the driver's side. I pulled off and hit the freeway. "You sure you're okay with me leaving?" I asked her one more time. I heard her sigh before she spoke. "Gelo I already told you I'm fine with it. Now if you ask me again I will pop you." I chuckled grabbing her hand before I kissed it.
