"We need to get you the hospital." She said. I quickly shook my head. "No, he will find me there." I groaned as I clutched my stomach as this pain shot through my lower stomach. "Who? Who will find you?" The old man asked. "Dad, look," Derek said pointing at the mark that trailed down my neck. The three of them gasped stepping away from me as they stared down at me. "She has a royal mark. Her mate is a part of the royal family." He said. I tried to catch my breath as I massaged the sides of my stomach. The woman came over and patted the sweat off my forehead. "Rebecca look." The man said gesturing towards the tv. There on the screen sat a picture of me with the words missing sitting under it. "If you've seen this woman please notify authorities as soon as possible." The speaker said."You're Mr. Ahmad's mate!!" The man said as he looked at the screen. "Who cares, Franklin?" Rebecca said as she tried her best to calm me down. "Rebecca..." "Franklin, if Mr. Ahmad finds out we let his mate and his child die it won't matter that she was here because he will kill us. Now help me!" The woman barked.
"Now get some towels and warm water. Derek come hold her hand." After getting her supplies she spoke to me, "alright sweetheart on the count of three push." The woman said.

Sometime laterI was sitting on the couch exhausted. "How is he?" I asked. "He's perfect," Rebecca said. I struggled to get up only to be stopped. "Sit. You just had a baby." Derek said. "I can't I have to leave," I said as Rebecca handed me, my son. "Well at least let us call Mr. Ahmad," Franklin said. "No, please," I begged as they looked at me confused. "You weren't taken, you ran." The woman said realizing. "I need to get out of here," I said shaking my head. "We can't let you leave. You're in no condition to be going anywhere. You're covered in blood and your baby doesn't have any clothes." The woman said. "Go look for some clothes them to wear." She said looking at her husband and son. "Thank you for helping me," I said looking at her.
"Is he hurting you?" She asked. I looked down at my beautiful baby. "I-I... he... I just can't be with him anymore, but he won't let me go. So, I need to leave." I said with fear and sadness laced in my voice. "What are you going to name him?" Rebecca asked trying to change the subject. I smiled rubbing my son's cheek. "Nasir," I said as the men came back. "I found some sweats for you." The man said. "And I found some of my old baby clothes," Derrek said. Once Nasir and I were changed I walked into the living room. "Here's some money to last you and the baby a couple of days," Rebecca said as she rubbed my arm. "I can't take this," I said. "I know what it feels like to be trapped in a relationship because of who your mate is." She lifted her shirt showing me her marking. I looked closely seeing that whoever her mate was he held a high ranking. "A woman helped me get to a safe place and now I want to pass that kindness on to you," Rebecca said teary-eyed. I hugged her telling her, thank you again before I opened the door only to see dozens of police cars in front of the house and that terrifying black truck.
I quickly closed the door and looked at the three of them. Rebecca turned and looked at her son and husband. "I had to call. If they traced her back to us they could kill us." Derrek said looking at his mother.
"Ahsha if you come out now no one will be hurt. You have my word." I heard him speak with ease. I looked down at Nasir and I knew I couldn't go on the run with an infant. I couldn't let Rebecca or her family get hurt because of me. I sighed kissing Nasir forehead before opening the door. "Ahsha?" I glanced back at Rebecca. "We'll be okay," I said giving her reassuring nod before stepping outside to face the man who against my better judgment still held my heart. He walked towards me stopping just a few feet in front of me. He stared into my eyes and I watched as they shifted between green and black before they rested on black.
