"Fuck!!" The man said as he fell to his knees clutching his now broken nose. Angelo paced back and forth like a caged animal before he went to finish him off. He punched the poor man's face repeatedly until he was pulled off the now unconscious man. "Alright, kid that's enough. You're not trying to kill him." Angelo's uncle, Henry said. After forcing Angelo to leave the two walked outside and headed to the car only to see Angelo's older cousin, Damon leaning against the car. "You look like shit." Angelo rolled his eyes. "What are you doing here?" He barked still running on adrenaline. "I asked him to come we need to talk. Get in the car." Their uncle ordered.
Angelo scoffed turning to head back inside. "Angelo. Don't test me." He growled making Angelo look at him. With a clenched jaw, he begrudgingly got in the car.

"Here," Henry said passing him a glass of scotch. Angelo downed the glass and held it up for another one. Henry had noticed since his nephew had changed tremendously in the past year. He had been drinking more, picking fights and he was just more aggressive since the night he left Maja. He had seen this before with his father. He knew his nephew was in love and he knew Maja was a good fit for him and after seeing him kill for this woman it was no question. Just like when Henry's brother went through this phase he was going to do everything in his power to get Maja and Angelo back together.
"I was talking with Damon and he mentioned he had an opening at his company," Henry said. "Seeing as you need a job sounds like a simple fix," Henry said. Angelo looked at his uncle and cousin skeptical. "Come on Angelo you can't keep this fight shit up. You're going to end up killing someone or yourself." Damon said. Damon had watched his cousin go from this kid who had the whole world in front of this broken man. He wasn't going to continue to sit by and let him kill himself. Damon could see he was about to say no so passed him a picture. "This is your girl, right? The one you're trying to get back." Damon questioned already knowing the answer.
"Yes, where did you get a picture of her?" Angelo asked curiously. "She works for me. I'm not saying this will get her back but it's a better start then what you've been doing." Damon said. Henry and Damon watch as Angelo weighed his options. "What would I have to do?" Angelo asked making his uncle and cousin look at each before they smiled. "You have a business degree, you would be my COO (Chief Operations Officers)." Angelo thought about it.
"I want to pick my own assistant." He said. Damon laughed because he already knew where his cousin was going. "Deal." He said as they shook on it. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." "No Wednesday, you look like shit," Damon said making the three of them laugh.

Wednesday.
"What did I miss?" I asked Andre as I walked in late. "There was meeting about the new COO." "Shit," I said as I sat down. "Really, who is it?" I asked. "The boss's cousin. He seems okay. He said he's just going to be walking through the departments to get a feel for the place." I nodded my head. I had been chit-chatting with Sofie and Andre as we worked when they both fell silent. "What were you saying?" I asked as I read over one of the many business proposals I had to scan. When I didn't get a response I looked up at them seeing them staring at something behind me. I turned to look only for my mouth to drop. There he stood looking like he just came back from a European vacation.

He looked at me and smiled. "What are you doing here?" I asked as I stood up.
His smile grew as he pulled me into a tight hug. 'God, why did he have to smell so good.' I thought to myself. I was in such a daze I hadn't noticed that my phone was ringing. "M-Maja speaking," I said as Angelo walked off with a satisfied grin. "Mr. Jonsson would like to speak with you." Mr. Jonsson's assistant said. "Alright, Denise," I said before hanging up.
"Mr. Jonsson's wants to talk to me," I said looking at Andre and Sofie who still had looks of shock on their faces. I sighed as I walked to my boss's office taking a breath before I knocked on the door. "Come in." I opened the door seeing Mr. Jonsson looking at his computer. "You wanted to see me, Mr. Jonsson," I said as I walked in further. "I noticed you weren't at the meeting this morning and I wanted you to meet our new COO." He said with a raised eyebrow.
I gave him a shy smile. Mr. Jonsson knew about Samiya and he was very flexible with my schedule. I did my internship with him my last two years of college and after having been here for practically three years now it felt like a great fit. He took an interest in me and at first, I thought it was weird but he said it was because he saw a great deal of potential in me. "Samiya wasn't feeling good and I had to wait for the babysitter. I'm very sorry." I rushed out. He chuckled. "Maja it's okay. I hope she feels better soon." He said with a genuine smile. "Thank you. You were talking about the new COO." I said. "Ah yes, here he is now." I turned my head to see the door open only for Angelo to come in.
The smile on my face completely dropped. "You can't be serious?" I said rudely. "Maja?" Mr. Jonsson said and Angelo chuckled. "I thought the new guy was your cousin," I said looking at Mr. Jonsson. "He is my cousin." "This has to be a joke," I said with clenched fists before looking back at Angelo, who had gotten extremely close.
"I told you. I'm not going anywhere." He said. I sucked my teeth before stepping around him. "Fucking jackass," I mumbled only for him to grab my arm stopping me. "Would you like to repeat that?" He said. "Let me go," I said as we stared each other down. There was this look in his eyes that said everything he wanted to do to me at this moment and a shiver ran over my body. Angelo had been aggressive in the past but there was something about his eyes that gave off this different vibe. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't attractive, but I wasn't going to let him know that. "Maja there's something else we need to talk about." I had completely forgotten Mr. Jonsson was there. Angelo let my arm go but we still eyed each other.
"Yes," I said finally looking at my boss. "You are being given a promotion." I looked at him shocked. "Really?" He chuckled. "Yes, you will have a substantial pay raise and you will be getting your own office." I was at a loss for words. "What's my new title?" I asked eagerly. "You will be Mr. Rossi's personal assistant." "No," I said. "It's already been decided. Besides you get your own office. You might want to start moving your stuff, we have a lot of work to get done." Angelo said harshly before he walked out.
