Maja

It was going on 12:30 and I still hadn't heard from Angelo. I was in the process of typing this long text to him when I got an incoming call from Haseem. "What?" I asked annoyed. "Something happened to Angelo." I shot up. "What happened?" I asked. "I can't explain it but I'm coming to get you." He said. "What do you mean you can't explain it? What happened?" I asked. "Maja I'm just going to come get you." He said before he hung up. I got looking for something to throw on. I walked into Arnell's room. "Nell?" I called as I tried to wake her up. "What?" She snapped. "Can you watch Sami if she get's up?" I asked her.

"Where are you going?" She asked sitting up completely. "Something happened to Angelo," I said. Her eyes widened before she nodded her head. "Of course, go make sure he's okay." She said. I told her thanks before I rushed back to my room grabbing my wallet, keys, and phone. I looked at my phone seeing that Haseem was outside. I rushed outside and climbed into the car.

"How do you know something happened to him?" I asked, making him sighed. "Rocky called and told me." I nodded my head before falling quiet. Haseem kept glancing over at me. "What?" I asked. "You're quiet. Are you okay?" He asked. I shook my head. "He said he had a meeting at work and now something happened to him. Deep down I knew he was lying but I was hoping I was wrong." I said as we continued to drive. We pulled up to Rocky's place and I looked at Haseem. "Just follow me." He said. We walked inside and went into the living room to see Reggie patching Angelo up.

Angelo froze as he looked at me with clouded eyes. "Maja come here." He said straining as he went to stand up. "What happened?" I asked not moving from my spot. "I..." "You were fighting again. Weren't you?" I asked.

"Yes." He said. I rolled my eyes before I turned to walk out only for him to grab my arm. "Angelo let go of me," I said. "I fought Zachary." He said. I turned and looked at him. "Why were you even there? You said you were done." I questioned. He looked at Haseem and Rocky. He grabbed my hand and led me outside to his truck . "I'm not getting in your car," I said crossing my arms. "Maja get in the car." He said. "No." I snapped crossing my arms while he stared down at me.

Haseem pulled up to my house and we sat there for a minute. "You okay?" He asked as he looked over at me as I rubbed my stomach without realizing it. "Angelo's been through a lot, Maja." I looked over at Haseem. "His anger gets the best of him sometimes, especially when it comes to you." I smacked my lips and he chuckled. "I'm serious, Maja. Every time he does something crazy it's been for you. That man would go to jail for you."

"I don't want that though. I get it every now and then certain situations call for fighting, but it feels like he's always fighting now." I said with a sigh. "And honestly, I feel like it's my fault," I mumbled. "What? Why?" Haseem asked. "Had he never thought he needed to deal with Richard for me he would be fine," I said. "Maja just between you and me, he was going to kill that man anyway. After he found out about his mom his mind was already made up. The only thing you made him do was to make sure that man suffered." I hugged Haseem telling him thank you and to call me when he got home.

Angelo

I stood there watching as she drove off with Haseem. "Nigga, what the fuck is up with you? Keep fucking playing and you're going to lose your girl for good this time." Rocky said. "I know but I don't know what to do," I said. "You know we're all here for you. You just have to reach out to one of us and you have your therapist just talk to one of us before you go off and do something stupid." He said. I nodded my head. "I know and I will," I said dapping him up before I got in my car.

Next day

I walked into the office nodding my head at everyone as they spoke to me. I walked to Maja's office seeing her look at some files. I closed the door making her head shoot up. She sighed before looking back down at her work. "I lied to you. I promised I wasn't going to fight anymore but I have." I said looking at her. She continued to ignore me. "Look Maja I don't expect you to understand but sometimes out of no where this wave of anger and sadness hits me and the only thing that makes me feel better is fighting. I know you're worried about me, and I want to do everything in my power to put you at ease." She still hadn't looked up. "I made an appointment to see a therapist," I said hoping to get her attention.
