Angelo

It had been a week since our project started and Maja had been avoiding me. I had just finished running and I was heading back to the gym and my eyes landed on Maja standing in front of the mirror doing squats. I walked over and stood behind her watching her work. Our eyes connect in the mirror and she rolled her eyes. She did her last squat and turned and looked at me. "Can I help you?" She crossed her arms. I smirked.

"I can't watch my girlfriend." She stared up at me rolling her eyes with this mug on her face that was far from intimidating. "You keep rolling your eyes it's gone get you in trouble but do you want to go get some food?" I could see she was taken back by what I said. "What?" She said tilting her head to the side confused. "Food? Are you hungry?" "I-I...Um yeah, I can eat." She said giving in dropping her arms.

I chuckled as I watched her eat. "So far I have learned that you're very opinionated and you dance when you eat. That's progress." She looked at me realizing she was dancing. "Since we're stuck together for the next four months or so I think we should get to know each other somewhat." She looked over at me not saying anything for a while. I sighed taking a bite of food. She stayed quiet as we ate in silence. After we finished eating we headed back to campus and we found ourselves standing outside her apartment. As she was about to head in I grabbed her arm. "Tonight my frat is throwing this party and I want you to come," I said. She looked up at me.

"I'll think about it." She said before walking inside.

Maja

"What took you so long?" Nadia asked. My eyes fell on her, J.J., Haseem, Micah, and Arnell sitting in the living room looking like Living single and shit. "I ran into Angelo," I said walking into the kitchen. "Wait! What!?" My sister said jumping up following me. "He offered to buy lunch so I went." I shrugged. I looked up to see them smiling at me. "Yall motherfucker get creepier and creepier I swear," I said shaking my head.

"So how was it?" Arnell asked as they followed me into the living room. I explained what happened and they looked at me. "What?" I said. "Day one and you're already being an asshole." "Takes one to know one," I said sticking my tongue out at Arnell. "Maja can you please give this 'experiment' a try. When it ends you can go back to never having anything to do with men but you agreed to follow the rules, so you have to try." Nadia said. I looked at her sighing. "Fine, give me your phone," I said looking at Haseem I scrolled through his contacts before I found his number. "Yo." Angelo's voice rang in my ears. "Actually it's Maja." "What's up?" He asked. "I'll go. To your party." I said rolling my eyes as my sister clapped.

I was caught off guard when I heard deep laughter come through the phone. "Really?" He chuckled again. "Well it's going to be a small get together, so dress comfortably." He said. "Small get together, huh? Like kickback chill or I don't have to wear heels?" I questioned. "Kickback." "Alright."

"Good, so I'll see you tonight, beautiful." He said before hanging up. "Now go shower. We have to get you ready for tomorrow." Arnell said. I rolled my eyes. "You need to stop rolling your eyes, little girl!" Arnell yelled

Later that night

I stood in front of the mirror looking at my outfit pleased with how I looked. I threw on a black hat and walked into the living room. "Well don't you look cute," Nadia said. The fact that three of us were wearing the same thing but in different colors. "Well, you know I try," I said flipping my hair. "Yall ready to go?" Nadia asked. "Let's get this over with," I said.

We walked into the house and my eyes scanned the scene before me. "Guess we dressed appropriate," Arnell said. "Arnell!!" Her some of friends yelled. "Bye." Arnell waved walking off. "Hey, Nadia," J.J. said grabbing her hand. "You going to be okay?" Nadia asked. "Yeah go ahead. Have fun." I said smiling. "Shut up." I laughed watching the two of them walk off.

I sighed before walking further into the room. I walked into the kitchen and immediately regretted it. "Damn. How are you doing Maja?" "I can't believe she actually at a party." "She looks cute." "Isn't she with Angelo?" I rolled my eyes and turned to leave when I crashed into someone. "Shit." "My bad, beautiful." I looked up to see Angelo.

Angelo

"Uh, hi," Maja said glancing around to see everyone was staring at us. She looked uneasy so I grabbed her hand and led her upstairs. "You look good," I said once we got to a quiet area. She walked over to the railing looking down at everyone. "Thank you." My eyes widened. "What? Are you actually being nice?" She looked over at me rolling her eyes. "I am nice." I chuckled. "So why am I here?" She asked turning and looking at me.

"Look we both agreed to do this and I'm actually trying to put my best foot forward but if you're not even going to try we can go see Professor Day tomorrow morning and end this," I said being as blunt as possible. She leaned against the rail looking at me. I was leaning back against the couch staring right back at her. "So what do you want to do?" She looked away from me which gave me a chance to fully take in her appearance. My eyes trailed up the curves of her body until I reached her eyes. "Fine, I guess I can tone down the attitude." I stood up walking towards her trapping her against the railing. I was about to kiss her when she turned her head.

"I guess I should have seen that coming," I said against her neck. "Angelo!!" I looked down to see my line brothers were about to step. I smirked grabbing Maja's hand and headed back downstairs. We got I line and started doing our thing. The boys and I broke out sliding in front different women. Reggie slid in front of Arnell. J.J. went to Nadia and I was in front of Maja. As we finished our step I grabbed Maja's chin and staring at her face. "In a couple of weeks, you're going to be begging for me to kiss you," I whispered into her ear. I let her go and got back into formation and finished the step making sure never to take my eyes off of Maja.
