Maja

"What?" I asked looking at Omar. He chuckled. "How long have you and Angelo been engaging in sexual relations." He said slowly before he laughed. I covered my face. "Oh, my god," I mumbled into my hands. He chuckled. "It's okay Maja. You like him." I looked at him confused. "How do you...." "That night I saw you and Angelo kissing it put the thought in my head. I've been watching how you two act and you can see there's something there. Plus, he's always looking at you like you're the only girl he sees. You know he's had a thing for you since freshman year but you never gave him the time of day." He said. I blushed looking down.

"Do you like him?" He asked showing his very rare serious side. "Maybe a little," I said playing with my fingers. He smiled wrapping his arm around me. "Have you told him?" He asked nudging me. "We've talked about it?" I trailed off. "And?" I looked over at him. "Omar?" "What? I think you two could be good for each other. I see something." I looked at him as he spoke. "I think you should give him a chance and you know I wouldn't tell you that if I didn't trust him."

"Omar, Angelo and I are dating but we're taking things slow." He his face broke out into this huge smile. "But we're not taking things public so this has to stay between us," I said. "Well, you have to tell the squad. They're not stupid they'll figure it out just like I did." He said with that goofy smile still on his face. "I didn't plan on telling any of yall honestly. At least not right now." He smacked his lips. "Why not we're you're family. It's not like we'd go around telling your business." I sighed. "You have a point," I said as we stood up.

I looked at him and he smiled shaking his head. "What?" "My nigga got the girl every man on this campus wanted." I laughed pushing him. "Shut up." His laughter soon joined mine. "It's true though."

We slowly made our way to the frat house. "So, are you still hoeing around?" I asked making him stop walking. "Damn Maja we just had a nice talk. I gave you my best brotherly advice." I laughed. "Who is she?" I asked looking at him. "Pshh, I don't know what you're talking about." I stared at him for a while "Her name is Tisha, she's my tutor Anatomy." He said with a blush creeping up his neck. My smile grew. "Have you told her?" I said using his very words against him. "Nah." I stopped him. "Why not?" He shrugged. "She thinks I got all these hoes. I've been trying to show her I'm not like that, but I don't know." He sighed. "Why don't you let Nadia, Arnell and me chat her up about you." He pulled me into a hug. "See, this is why you're my best friend." I laughed as we walked into the house. I made my way to Angelo's room seeing him talking into his laptop.

Angelo

I was sitting in my room when my laptop started to ring. I smiled seeing that it was my mama trying to facetime. "Hey, mama." I smiled seeing my beautiful mother's face. "So please tell me why I had to find out from your knuckleheaded brothers that you have a girlfriend? I was going to see how long you were going to wait until you told tell me about her, but I got annoyed that it was taking you so long." She said while eyeing me. I scratched my neck not knowing how to explain this.

"Mama it's not how they made it sound." I tried to explain. "Elaborate." She said. "Well, our teacher wants to do a social experiment because Maja, that's her name by the way. We were having a class discussion about interracial dating and Maja expressed that she couldn't see herself with a white man." I said before she cut me off. "Oh, you told me about this. Continue." She said listening intently.

"Well, our professor decided to pair us together and wants us to act as a couple for the next couple of months." I finished explaining as my door opened and Maja walked in. I stared at her as she smiled giving me a wave. "What's up?" I asked. "Who was that?" My mama yelled. "Oh, I'm sorry I should have knocked first. I can come back." Maja said. "Nah, you're good, come here." She looked at me before walking towards me. I grabbing her arm pulling her on to my lap. "Mama this my girlfriend...I mean Maja. This is Maja." Maja chuckled causing me to look at her. I sighed. "Maja this is my mama," I said looking over at Maja. Maja's eyes widened but she quickly covered it with a smile. "It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Rossi." She said. I smiled as I stared at Maja.

I looked at my mama seeing a smirk on her face. I raised an eyebrow only making her smile grow. "Oh, my goodness she's gorgeous. Please call me mama Rose." Maja smiled nodding her head. "Eric!!" I sighed. "Mama." I groaned. "Hush boy I'm still mad at you hiding your girlfriend from me." Maja looked at me. "Yes, baby." I heard my pop's voice before I saw him. He went and sat next to my mama and looked at the screen. "How you been kid?" My dad asked with a smile. "Good just trying to get through this last year," I said before my mama started talking. "Eric this is Maja, Angelo's girlfriend." My mama said smiling. My dad's eyebrow rose. "So, you finally decide to tell us about your girlfriend?" He questioned. My head snapped to Maja as she started laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked poking her sides repeatedly making her laugh more. A smile graced my face as I watched her laugh. I looked back at my parents seeing my mama smiling from ear-to-ear while my dad's face held a smirk. "Hello, Maja. I'm Eric Angelo's dad." My pops said once Maja's laughter calmed down. She smiled and gave a small wave. "Hi, Mr. Rossi." He smiled. "Isn't she pretty Eric?" My mama asked my dad making him chuckle. "Yes, Tia." I sat there while my mama asked Maja questions. I shook my head laughing at how goofy they were before Maja's phone rang. "I'll be back." She said going into the bathroom.

"I like her. She's funny but respectful." I smiled. "And don't think I didn't see how you were looking at her." She said with a sly smile. "Angelo, we need to talk," Maja said coming back in. "I'll call you two later, okay?" "Okay baby see you later. Bye Maja it was nice to meet you." My mama said. "You as well mama Rose. Bye, Mr. Rossi." They said before I hung up.

"So, of all the people Omar guessed it?" I laughed. "Yes." She said making me look up. My eyes followed her movement as she took off her cardigan. "He said we should tell the squad because it's only a matter of time before they figure it out." She said. "Well that' up to you. I don't have a problem with it." I shrugged. She mugged me before rolling her eyes. "We can tell them...eventually." She said mumbling the last part. "I promise if we tell them it won't be the end of the world," I said as I moved to the end of the bed.

I pulled her into my arms. "Trust me," I said pressing my forehead against hers. "Okay." She said softly.
