Seventy-three

Maja

"Where are they?" I asked I came rushing into the hospital. "She's fine. Her water just broke. The doctors are getting her settled and they said we could go back soon." Arnell said. I nodded my head as Angelo led me to a seat. "I'm so excited," I said looking at Angelo. He smiled kissing my temple. "I'm about to be a Godfather." He said cheesing. "I'm about to be an auntie. My babies about to have cousins." I said. "Arnell? Maja? Nadia's asking for you." I looked up seeing J.J. looking at me. Arnell and I stood following him.

"Hey pooh," I said walking over to my sister. "Hey, Maj. Hey Nell." She said smiling. "The doctor said I'm about 4 centimeters dilated." I cheesed. "I'm so excited. Is this how yall felt with men and Sami?" I asked. "Yes!" Nell said nodding her head. "Mama said she's five minutes away," Nell said.

Four hours had passed, and Nadia was now about 7 centimeters and in so much pain. We were trying our best to comfort her when the nurse came to give her the epidural. "You're about to feel so much better," I said holding her hand.

It was now going on, 9 pm and it was time for Nadia to push. Arnell stood next to me on one side of Nadia while J.J. and my mom stood on the other. "Come on Nadia give me a big push." The doctor said. She screamed out her push before catching her breath. Another hour later the room filled the screams of a beautiful baby boy. "Here you go, mama. A healthy baby boy." The nurse said handing Nadia her son. "Hi, Papa." Nadia cooed. J.J. looked down at his son with so much pride and love. "Do either of you have a name in mind?" I asked. "Marquise," J.J. said caressing his son's head. I smiled at how in love my sister and J.J. looked with their son. After everything was cleaned up I went and got everybody else.

Angelo

After spending a couple of hours with Nadia, J.J. and the baby MJ and I decided to head home. "I love sissy. I love you papa." Maja said kissing Nadia and Marquis's forehead. "Congratulations J." I said hugging J.J. "Thanks man." He said smiling pridefully. "Good job, J.J," Maja said coming over to hug him. "Thanks, sis." He said kissing her cheek. "Call me if either of you needs me," MJ said as we walked to the door. We gave them one more wave before heading out. Maja laced our fingers together as we walked to the elevator. I kissed the back of her hand.

"I'm so happy," Maja said beaming with joy. I chuckled as her phone rang. "Hello, my love." She said. "I know," Maja said smiling brightly. "Sami, you can see the baby when auntie Nadia comes home, okay?" Maja asked. "We'll be home soon," Maja said. "What about me?" She asked. She threw her head back laughing as we walked outside. "I hurt love, but you are right. I'll let him know." She said chuckling. "I love you too." She said before hanging up. "Sami said you have to help her with her math homework. Because apparently, that's not my thing." She said mugging me.

I started laughing as we walked through the parking garage. "It's not funny." She punching my arm. "Well math isn't your thing, but that's what I'm here for," I said hugging her. She stuck her tongue out at me as I helped her in the car. I grabbed her chin pulling her lips to meet mine. "What were you saying?" I asked looking at her. she shook her head. "Nothing." She whispered. I smiled before walking around to the driver's side and heading home.

The week flew by and I found myself driving Maja back to her uncle's office. "So what have you decided?" I asked her. "I don't want Dem to think visiting a prison is normal." She said. I nodded my head. "I don't want to hurt anybody but at the end of the day my priority is to take care of Dem and his wellbeing." She said. I kissed her hand. "I agree," I told her as we parked.

We headed into the building and made our way to Andre's office. She turned kissing me before heading inside.
