Stellas POV

when we arrived at shay and Kelly's apartment Kelly showed me to his room he had the room downstairs next to the spiral staircase that led up to Shay's room

I decided to get ready for bed as soon as we came in as I was beyond tired it was early hours in the morning after all, and it had been a long night.

kelly left to grab me some changes of clothes I gathered he would bring me some of shays clothes but instead he had gone to his drawer and pulled out one of his t-shirts and a pair of his nike joggers. 

"I think i'll just take the tshirt, I cant sleep with trousers or bottoms on" I say and he raises his eyebrow and he changes into the joggers instead

"fine by me" he jokes as he pulls the joggers up to his waist line and looks at me and I stare at him 

"can you leave so I can change" I ask as he wobbles his head a little "Oh yeah, sorry...if you need me at all I will be out on the sofa" he says with a smile as he leaves and slides his door shut. 

I begin to get changed into Kellys shirt I fold my clothes in the corner as I climb into his bed, his bed was actually pretty comfy, and I could smell his scent on the sheets, it was a very calming scent, I felt like I was cuddled up to him and I felt relaxed as I tried to fall asleep.

Kellys POV

I walk out of my room "left her to get changed, she will probably get straight to bed, she looks tired" I say as shay looks at me "you left a girl in your room to get changed and your out here....wow Severide I never though id see the day" shay joked as I nudged her 

"well Stella isn't just any girl is she" I say as shay turns and looks at me with her mouth wide open "what..." I ask confused 

"you are in love with Stella" she says a little loud as I cover her mouth 

"shhhh, jeez, the whole city almost heard that" I say as I remove my hand from her mouth

"oh sorry, dont want to ruin your street cred do we" she jokes again as we sit on the sofa.

"well yeah, and also I dont want Stella to know, shes just got out of a long term relationship, a marriage even...I can't be jumping the gun right away" I say as shay puts her arm on my shoulder

"who are you, and what have you done with Kelly severide" she asks as she laughs "no seriously though, that is very mature of you, I know how much Stella means to you" I look at shay and smile 

"she is special..." is all I say as I look back at the TV and try to watch what is playing but all I can think about is stella. shay tells me shes going to bed as she kisses my cheek as she stands behind the sofa then heads up the stairs to her room. I get comfy and try to fall asleep, I turn the TV off and look up at the ceiling as I try to switch my mind off.

it has been at least an hour and I still can't sleep, I sit up and look over at my bedroom door, all I can imagine is Stella in my shirt wrapped in my blankets in my bed, the only thing missing was me.

since I first met her, I imagined having her in my bed and giving her a true Kelly severide introduction. back then I certainly didn't imagine that she would be in my bed under these circumstances. 

I play with my hands as I debate whether to get up and go to my room. 

I stand up and walk over to my door but stop before reaching for the handle as I shake my head and turn round and head back to the sofa, I stop again as I turn and head back to my bedroom door, I go to open the door but it opens up as Stella is standing in front of me, she had opened it from the other side.
