Wednesday's pov:

Spinning a revolver around her pointer finger, Wednesday's black eyes aim at any possible new lead that could peak it's head from the trenches of old information of the case. It's been 7 whole weeks since the attack now. And the invisible enemy hasn't made a move.

"Looks like your title reveal and my ability scared them off for a while," whispers Wednesday. "Smart but..."

She stops spinning the weapon and shoots at Laurel Gate's employee picture from Nevermore. Half of the woman's upper face had disappeared but her smile was still in place. If she was just like you she would've kept shooting. But the smile was a reminder that she failed. She failed to prevent Nevermore from getting attacked. She failed to solve the case for there was so much more to it- more than you let on. Knowing how your side works you were probably threatened to not tell her. Yet she still could've seen that the murders were apart of something so much bigger for Crackstone wanted to end all outcasts. Destroying one school wouldn't be enough! Wasn't even the tip of the iceberg for fuck sakes!

"I truly am a fool," she says as her head falls to her open palm that was just resting on her bent knees.

There is no way they went back into hiding for good. They're clearly just staying low for now. To plan better. To put into consideration the new players and reveals. Sliding her hand down her face and sighing she looks out her bedroom window. "New rules means new plays."

"Wednesday," her young brother stood at the door with a worried and confused face.

"What is it?"

"Y/B/F/N is here-"

"We need to talk-" states your cousin/best friend who appeared right behind a shocked Pugsely. "Like now."

Standing up Wednesday agreed. With a quick dismissal to her brother she welcomed the Vampiric sleeping agent into her room which had now become a investigators office. Her desk that was normally neat was now a ocean of papers. Her type writer that use to hold Frida's story now held theories, hypothesis, rambles, and other things.

"I expect-"

Your friend/cousin puts a hand up to silence her as she walks around the room to see if there was any spyware. A familiar crow lands at the window and does what looks like a thumbs up sign. Nodding she turns to Wednesday.

"Where have you been?"

"Hong Kong. Investigating more on what Crown prince Y/B/N was doing." Wednesday sat down on her bed. Silently inviting the vampire to sit on her bed.

"As you know he was killed by Y/N due to being a traitor. He was trying to start a war."

Wednesday nods. "But there are so many loose ends to that case. Even when we were investigating it all of us were confused- well some confusion has been let up due to Y/N reclaiming her true identity- but I always knew who she was due to-"

"TO the point," states Wednesday boredly. But as expected from a spy your friend was able to sense the threat. A gun hidden in the words ready to fire.

She sighs. "There are still loose ends. Y/N was planning to look into it more in depth however...."

"What did you find?"

"Evelynn's pentagram." Of course you did. That woman's presence is truly everywhere in that court.

Her gaze falls a bit to the ground just like her heart. Is that why you couldn't push her away?

Her fingers choked her seat. Evelynn has been trying to trap you from all angles before we were courting.

"As far as we know he asked her to take care of Y/N but there may be more to it."
