Author's note: DID YALL SEE THE PRODUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER FOR SEASON 3!? WINONA RYDER!? ENID'S NAME TAG BEING BURNT- WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!? I fear that is giving me even darker ideas for this story than I already have cooking on the back burner.  But also, I need to pick up the pace with these chapters lol.

Anywho- long chapter.

Mortica's pov:

Since arriving to Nevermore Mortica Addams had found herself cruising down the same breaking raft on a raging river like her daughter. A ride that made agony feel a bad type of odd- making her feel how normal people felt when they are in agony. Making her feel like a stranger in her own body. How couldn't she when both of her children were suffering from the heart. Wednesday longing for her lover and Pugsley searching for a mysterious girl and something else he refuses to discuss about. It also didn't help he was struggling to make friends.

Normally in the past she knew how to help them but now she didn't. How could she when one had her life's door nailed shut with deadly traps and the other's door was wide open to a life full of things not even he understood. It was breaking her heart!

To make matters worse, she was becoming a stranger to said heart for she almost wrote to her mother last night! Making her wonder if she felt alone and if her mother felt that way when she and her sister Ophelia were in similar boats like Wednesday and Pugsley.

"I almost wrote to my mother tonight," she tells Gomez who gives her a concerned look. He knew better than anyone how she felt about her mother. Unlike his family, Mortica's was thorny and full of deep hatred mixed with greed. Her mother only saw her and her sister as pawns in her game while the rest of the world as steps to achieve higher status, influence, or power.

"Maybe I can help you forget about your mother?" He turns and places a tango record into the player.

Wednesday's pov:

"Are you sure it was my mother and not Evelynn who took it?" Asks Wednesday. Thing explains in detail how he knew it was her mother and not her rival who was trying to trick her to enter a second contract with her. The first one she made was one she was regretting everyday.

Pulling her hood over her head, Wednesday climbs over the wall and into her parents' cottage. The sound of tango and the smell of love slap her at full force as she weaves and creeps through the autumn-infested garden.

Opening the window slowly, she slips into the room and makes a beeline to the chest at the foot of the bed. She knew it would be in there for her mother knew how she hated touching her sexual toys.

Opening it, she was greeted with a whip, cuffs, collar, and other torture items. For some odd reason her mind went to you upon seeing them. Specifically, the collar reminded her of yours dagger and gun holder that was tied around your thigh- tightly.

No time for that! She quickly moves the items till she finds the grimoire. Unluckily, she found a book that wasn't Goody's but had a note that warned her specifically about taking it.

As if it was all planned, when she reached the end of the note's warning her mother opened the door and turned the lights on. "I underestimated you bat-like hearing."

"And my maternal instincts."

Getting up Wednesday glares at her. "For someone who swore not to interfere in my life you've been sabotaging it quite a lot."

Mortica doesn't answer. She just walks over and sits on her bed. Smiling gently at her. A smile that felt like she was taunting her.

"You remember my favorite bed time story," asks Wednesday even though she knew her mother would and did answer correctly. Mortica's guard went down slightly as she reminisced in the days she was truly a little scorpion and would get excited ready the Salem Witch Trials.
