Mortica's pov:

Just when the night was turning to be a claiming one full of joyful youth Dort had to ruin it with his squeaky voice that sounded at times it was on helium while his nose was plugged. To make matters worse, he wouldn't stop asking her about her mother- whom she had told him many times now that she doesn't get along with.

"Sounds like you have a complicated relationship with her," Bianca asks with true concern. Her tropical sea colored eyes told a tale that had similar themes to Mortica's relationship with her mother.

"Oh she's very uncomplicated. She likes to manipulate every situation to her liking and I refuse to play her game." A loud and then muffled laugh slaps her out of the mind space she was entering. A laugh that was clearly targeting her and hit it's bull's eye.

Looking across the large bonfire she saw golden eyes engulf the flames through their reflection. A reflection that danced with the shadows of the night. The flames flaring within the golden rims made it seem like her pupil was a pot and within said pot were people waving their hands to escape thanks to how the shadows weaved through the flames lighting.

Evelynn smirks at her before getting up to head to the bathroom. Her stomach twists and flips as the blonde beauty disappears from bonfire into the darkness.

Quickly excusing herself from the activity and giving Gomez a warning look to stay alert she gracefully walks to their tent that was luckily on the other side of the site. Quickly peeking through the crowd she saw you- or who she thought was you.

Yes the person did have you Y/H/C along with the Y/E/C eyes that matched well with your rich Y/S/C that stretched and tensed under your fitted muscles that hid from plane sight to catch enemies off guard. They had your laugh and voice but the mischievousness in the eyes that played with unhinged danger wasn't there. It was just violence that held a trigger happy loaded gun. An emotion common in pure blooded demons like Evelynn and Atredis.

Wednesday better be in her tent. "If you want to say something then say it. I don't have all night."

"Pity yet such a hypocrite," Evelynn comes out from behind a tree and leans her shoulder on it. She watches Mortica through her lashes. Possibly imagining she was stabbing her with many spears due to how sharp her lashes were.

"How so?" The demoness laughs and walks over.

"Oh she's very uncomplicated. She likes to manipulate everything to her liking. That is a game I refuse to play," says Evelynn in Mortica's voice. Leaning slightly into the older goth's space her normal voice returns. "Yet here you are playing into her game and others."

Mortica gracefully avoids Evelynn's touch and walks away. Not taking her bait externally but admitting she was right to herself. The whole world was her mother's play toy. No matter where she went or did somehow her mother was involved. She wouldn't be shocked if her mother was pulling strings through Dort. That said, who was the other player? Bianca? Her own daughter? Or much worse Cassius?

"Don't be coy, Mortica."

"Why are you so concerned? It's not your kind to do such things." She turns to see the princess.

"What fun will it be to beat Wednesday if toy soldiers, puppets, and untrained mutts get in the way? I want to see her agony coming from me and only me."

Glaring at her, Mortica closes the distance between them. "Don't you dare harm her or my son. If anything happens to them I will do everything in my power to ruin you."
