Wednesday's pov:
Pushing you closer to her she couldn't help but feel a bit of respect towards Laural Gates. "Grabbing Y/N's discarded gun and hiding till the sword fight was over. That has to be the smartest thing you've done today by far."
Laurel rolled her eyes as she aimed the glock at both of you. Wednesday gripped your shoulders to keep you down. She could feel your body shaking and sense the demonic energy along with the rageful instincts of your kind trying to take over you again.
Earlier in the fight when you told her to hide she saw your arms veins were darker. You were using too much of your power and demonic contracts. She was impressed that you hadn't coughed up blood. Or maybe you were holding it back. Seeing the pain made her want to kill herself for she was forcing you to slowly kill yourself once again for this stupid plot! After she got stabbed the dark veins only got darker and appeared around your eyes were slit like a snake; Hua Cheng's powers had taken over. The shiningness of your eyes only proved the rage of the blood moon was possessing you as well.
She had just gotten you out of that state and now you were about to go back in to protect her again.
Walking down the steps Laural started her villainess monologue again of how she wasn't going to fail like her family. "But I can take you and that annoying Earl down!"
She pulls the trigger, Wednesday shields you only to find herself kissing the grass on the other side of the courtyard. Turning around, time went slowly as if she was in a movie.
You had summoned your shadow powers to wrap her away from Laural thanks to the dying flames. You were now standing up to take all the bullets she emptied into your chest that was having a firework show with your blood. The fight you had with Crackstone had heavily damaged your protection. Allowing the normie to hit your lower chest. Yet you chose to protect her rather than yourself.
10- 13- 15 shots were emptied into you. 4 into your lower chest, 5 into your stomach, and 6 scattered into your shoulder, side, and arms.
The way you fell to the ground wasn't even dramatic! It wasn't like in the tragic stories she's read. You just fell- SPLAT! On the ground! No dramatic music, or slowness there. You fell like a flower into a lake to be drowned.
"Y/N!!!" she bolts up and scrambles to your body. Laurel's laugh fills the air as she tries to shoot her but the buzzing of bees interrupts the redhead.
"Qué hicistes?!" Wednesday cradles your head into her arms. Desperately trying to cover the gun wounds with her blazer. Your only response was coughing up blood into her face.
She didn't even try to wipe it away, nor the tears blurring her sight. Almost as if her mind wanted to erase the fact she had hurt you once again.
"Nononononononononono NO!" she shrieks as Goody's words of her being a harbinger of tragedy bombs her eardrums and shakes her mind. Destroying all the defensives she had placed to protect herself from such pain ever again. I'm still the weak little girl from before!!
A cool hand gently tugs her out of her mind. Blinking away the tears she sees you giving her one of your charming smiles. The very smile that caught her heart and haunted her dreams since she met you. A smile she treasured more than her collection of knives and dissected animals.
"You've said my actual name," you whisper in a rasp as blood trickles out of you faster. Your wounds weren't healing for the bullets you brought with you were meant to kill both supernatural and non-supernatural. A type that was impossible to get and build. Hence proving once more how powerful you were.
"You die, I will bring you back to life over and over again just to kill till I'm satisfied!" she digs her fingers into your bloody shoulders. Leaning her head against yours, her tears mix with your blood. Making you both become one once more.
