Author's note: If you ever wonder what song I think represents Y/N and Wednesday's relationship, I believe it is "Peace and War" by Faouzia.

Wednesday's pov:

The slamming and creaking of a large book echoes through the empty, dark library. The dim light from the cloudy day trickles in through the dust and bits of moss sleeping against the large cathedral-like windows. Only the shadows witnessed the growth of the dust and moss, for they were the only living and dead things within the library other than Wednesday Addams.

Scribbling elegantly in her pocket notebook, she crosses out another biology book. The growing pile of books on the side of the table that represented the useless books was growing and growing while the side with books that held useful information only had the drifting cobwebs that would pick up into the air and fall again each time she flipped a page of the current reading or one of her non-human servants walked or flew by to give her a potential book.

The pile of books left to read wasn't faring any better. There was only one book left to read in the library, a history of the Vampire Court that had been published in the 1980s—no modern-day history books on your species. For a school that supposedly is going to start embracing authenticity and tradition, they continue to push us to use the internet?

"See if you can find any books in the Nightshade library," she orders Thing and Atredis without looking at them. Digging her nose deeply into another ocean of forgetfulness. She was starting to grow fawn of the dust smell, as if it was her favorite childhood dish- road kill pot pie.

With each sentence she climbed down, along with each word she used to take a step down the pages, the more her boiling frustration grew- she couldn't find anything about vampires's able to inherit more than one parental power!

Eventually, the smaller clans were either conquered by one of the larger clans of their species- the Tepes clan that was ruled by the High Lord Dracula Tepes or the Karnstein clan by Carmilla who claimed herself to be Queen of all Vampires before becoming the actual Queen.

The image of the two clans clashed heavily with each other. The Tepes leaned more into cooler colors with blue, black, and silver; while Karnstein was simple different shades of red. Tepes' crest embracing the peace of the moon and stars while the Karnstein the violence of fire. Both crests represent the different clans' mentalities and solutions to crisis- Tepes grew due to Dracula leaning more towards peace talks that would end with him marrying females in positions of power within the smaller clans- hence establishing the harem mentality for the royal family. Meanwhile your great grandmother would force the smaller clans into submission through blood shed.

When it was just those two clans left standing they raged a century long war till both leaders threw their swords aside and decided to rule together as husband and wife- becoming the first rulers of all Vampire kind. In honor of both clans becoming kin the combined each other's crests together which is seen in the current flag of the Vampiric court- the bloody crescent that has a star hang on the upper tip. A flag with black and red..... at least I won't need to worry about my allergies that much. Wednesday thought as she thinks back to all the images of nobles wearing their family colors in galas. The image of your coronation in the magazine you even wore the House Tepes colors.

She kept reading till she hit an odd section about the first royal couple. King Dracula loved Carmilla for the first century and barely spent time with his other consorts. From their marriage, 5 children were born. Two sons and three daughters- Crown Prince Nightrey, Prince Louis, Princess Marishka, Princess Aleera, and Princess Verona.

Looking at the painting of Nighttrey, the same gleam of determination you carried was seen in him as well. Making her wonder what else you may have inherited from your ancestors. After all, this man was your grandfather. The very man who created the monster your father was.
