Y/N's pov:

Staring at the phone Atredis ambushed you in you feel your wings shimy under your skin. Getting excited for the potential hunt this phone could lead to. But also the follow Atredis to where Wednesday is to talk to her. The last few days you've been trying to find a way to contact her but her lack of interest in modern technology and your father and the entire court helicoptering you the 24 hours- you couldn't summon Atredis to write a letter. Lastly, the talk was something that needed to be done in person so the letter was just going to be you prepping her for it. You just hoped she was notified about your awakening.

Not even an hour in and we're already finding clues to the shit show. You think as your drop the phone into Louch's waiting hands down below you. Next to you your father lifts a eyebrow.

"What was that?" He whispers. You shrug and give him a look that notifies him he'll know later. There are more urgent things on your plate to look into the moment you step into Nevermore. Upon entering through the garden, students flock around with their phones, digital cameras, or papers and pens while throwing bouquets of questions about your coma and the fight with Crackstone.

The guards and your men surround you and your father immediately. Causing the student body and parents to groan and complain. But that seized the moment they saw the guards reach for their weapons.

"The royal family won't be taking questions right now!" Shouts your father's representative as she walks in front of you all, blocking any camera and eye from you.

"Your excellencies! Excuse me- pardon. It's me, Principal Dort!" Your father signals the soldiers to let him in. A nerdy looking man pops out with a wide crooked smile that mirrors his glasses and messy curly hair. He hurries over to both of you.

"How did we go from elegance to this?" You whisper to your best friend who stepped into the circle to cover you. She muffles her laugh. Your Y/E/C eyes gaze at the small scare on her head. Your heart drops as guilt sinks itself into your body, threatening to drag you through the ground.

"Your majesty and your highness!" He does a wacky bow before reaching out to shake your hand. Your father and cousin/best friend glare at him, forcing him to drop his hand. With a sigh you raise your hand for him.

"Its a pleasure to meet the new Headmaster-"

"Principle please- Princess please!" He jokes as he aggressively shakes your hand. He kept shaking it as he rambled on why Principle was better than Headmaster. From the corner of your eye you see your father's eyes go from the shared color you both had to purple briefly. Immediately, Dort drops his hand and takes a few steps back with confusion in his eyes.

"I just want to thank you for saving the school with Miss Addams! You both showed the world that Outcasts can't be pushed around by normies! Due to that I hope to bring Outcasts pride unlike Weems did!" His smile widens, "She pushed her own agenda of desanitizing what Normies have done to us in the name of peace and unity- but not me! We Outcasts don't need those normies when we can accomplish greater things together as a community which you and Wednesday proved-"

"Agree but even grander things can be created if everyone stands shoulder to shoulder. Indeed there were flaws with Weems' view and execution of the vision but she did make great strides. Thanks to our collaboration with the elementary schools in the area and the community service many of the locals have changed their view on us. Many even housed many students at their place while students waited to go back home after the disaster."

You wave around the new courtyard. Briefly glancing at your father to see his reaction. He wore a proud look in his eyes. Not something people would ever think to see the deadly King Cassius Tepes to be proud of- unity between Outcasts and normies. "This couldn't have been done without normie allies."
