Author's note: Friendly reminder Y/W/F/N stands for Your Witch Friend's Name
Wednesday's pov:
After the whole normie situation was over and everyone stopped clinging to her, she finally found the time to sneak her pistol, bullets, and a knife on her person. It was time to head to the bullpen, and the sunset was growing impatient. Each pull of sunlight that disappeared counted down to the moment the entire camp would be put to sleep. If she didn't want to be caught in the spell she needed to head out with you now.
Sneaking behind the striped tents and autumn colored banners, she saw the devious crow of yours tapping it's claws on a branch.
"Lead," is all she said. Soon the feathered diva flew into the woods quickly, forcing her to run into the evergreen shadows. With each crunch of leaves and roots her boots stampede the less she could hear the loud music of the camp. With each step, civilization was swallowed by dying leaves.
As she ran through the woods through the darkness and crooked branches and roots along an uneven rocky road, Evelynn's manipulation dug her alive in the forest of her suspicions.
The same way she acted in the vision was similar to how she was acting during the confrontation with the scouts. Pushing you into your hidden anger and growing frustration- emotions that would fester a hatred for humans and normies. And just like in the vision, her voice didn't reach you from the depths of the grave the princess had thrown you into. I was right about Evelynn being the one who changes you.
The way the slim well kept fingers wrapped around you like the roots of a tree over a corpse and the way she close in on your body like a cat nuzzling the soon to be eaten mouse made her blood boil. How dare she lay her hands on you!
"Over here Wednesday." She comes to an abrupt stop. There on the side, leaning on a trunk was none other than the very girl she still couldn't get out of her head.
But unlike recent times where your eyes were just tired and stressed or like in the past full of hope and mischievousness- your Y/E/C eyes were dim. Not because you were tired- no, even then you still had a bit of light. It was just a little bit of light or the light was slightly darker than normal. This time there was nothing.
You had the eyes of someone who had just killed. Killed thousands. You felt nothing and it wasn't in a nonchalant manner like your position on the tree stated. You were empty. Empty like the broken version of you that begged to be killed once you broke out of your anger in the vision.
"Tepes," she blinks and your eyes have light once more, but barely. Sadly some of the light was purple, notifying her Evelynn had lent you some power to avoid you from fainting or falling in pain from using two demonic powers at the same time.
"You okay?" You ask walking up to her and lift a hand to push her bangs away but stop immediately when you are inches from touching her. You look at your hands as if they were covered in blood and shove them into your jacket pocket.
"I should be the asking that. Care to explain what happened at the site?"
"I.... I lost control of my mind and emotions- and before you tell me that I need to suck it up and get my shit together because of politics- I know!" You avoid her gaze and take a slight step back as if you were scared you would act out the kill you were denied earlier through her. The darkness downpouring on both of you now made the branches rubbing and poking you appear like arms dragging you into the shadows.
"But I interfered on time." You swallow visibly and nod looking at her with a fragile gaze. A silent thank you that would've made her ego inflate just a year ago but not it made her feel like a villain. Not at Evelynn's level but a still evil.
