Author's note: Soooo this chapter is actually much longer. I just cut the last half and decided to make it its own chapter that won't appear till a certain foreshadowing appears. Once that foreshadowing appears, I will post it! For now- new character intros! Pop off in the comments if you recognize the new character!
Wednesday's pov:
(Hours before your date with Evelynn)
The University of New York was a bit of an eyesore for Wednesday. The buildings couldn't decide whether they wanted to be gothic or modern brutalism or just the stereotypical urban design with bricks. The student body that hung around it didn't help for they were a jumble of different aesthetics that tagged the walls of the school.
Some even had the audacity to look at her as if she was the odd one out of them.
"Wait by the car," she tells Thing. Snapping up straight, he argues that he must go with her for safety. But his snaps and taps fell on blind eyes and deaf ears.
Turning away she marched into the main campus building and began scanning the names of professors off the wall till she found the office of Agnes' mother.
It didn't take long for her to reach the office on the fourth floor. Knocking on the door she heard a tired yet eager voice inside. Opening the door she saw an older Agnes sitting behind a very organized desk that held a large stack of folders and binders. Agnes was an exact copy of her minus the eye color.
"Wednesday Addams, it's a pleasure to meet you." She stood and bowed.
"How did you know?" The woman looks up and offers her to sit on the chair across the desk.
"No one truly questions the Vampire Court unless they want to destroy or join them. I can only assume you're trying to destroy them unless..." she pulls out a New York Times' article that showed the aftermath of Crackstone's attack. One of the images showed a picture of her year book photo along with a photo of your military time as Earl. "But something tells me there may be a more complex and bloodier reason that may break tradition and put a certain crown in danger of falling on the wrong head if an heir chooses self indulgence. Hope you know the risk you're entering in snooping into the court's past. Not many survive."
"Its been a long time since an educator has caught my interest and bit of respect." Agnes' mother smiles and begins to pull out files. Nodding back to the ravenette, she waits for Wednesday's questions.
"Tell me what you know about Hell's role in the Vampiric civil war." The redhead smiles and pulls out different files. Soon documents containing pictures of old documents from the 14th century. Based on how unfocused they were, these images were taken in the 60s.
Cassius has possibly forbidden any modern scholars from reviewing anything related to the court, thinks Wednesday as she reads the documents.
"As you can tell, these are military documents of battle plans, land acknowledgements, title passings, and bethrols. All that show names of supposed nobles of the Vampire court with known noble houses. But there are random House names that appear here that have never been mentioned before or after the war."
Pointing to one land acknowledgement, she highlighted the name 'Blackwood'. Wednesday recognized the name, the Blackwoods were known nobles that lived in England. At first they were a hedge knights that quickly climbed the ladder of power. Now they were Viscounts that were close to the crown. The ones that kept Count Orlok in check. However, the land acknowledgement mentioned how it was handed to them by Royal House Tepes and House Oddfellow.
After finding out of your engagement she began studying all the lower and great House of the Vampiric court. House Oddfellow was a name she had never heard of. Granted they may be an extinct house but they were loyal to House Tepes and any house that was loyal to Nightrey's claim whether they fell or survived would be honored and remembered for all eternity. Whether they be Vampires or not.
