Gomez's pov:

Gomez Addams was well known for many things in his life. A devoted husband. A loving father. A reliable brother. A good friend. An amazing lawyer. A man of many talents.

He was also known as an emotionally weak man who folded faster than a fucking lawn chair when it came to helping or providing anything for those he loved. Especially if it was his for his firstborn child who literally never asks for his help.

There before him in his new at-home office stood Wednesday with a red-haired girl holding a massive box filled with black letters and what appeared to be printed emails.

"Oh my, Little Thunder Cloud has found my secret fire starter stash!" He pulls out a set of matches. "Shall we light the fireplace?"

"Father, why is Arasaka hellbent on getting you to join their lawyer team? To be their leading lawyer?"

He motions all the awards and newspaper praises on his work and firm. Each award twinkled like a star in the early afternoon sunlight.

Her frown didn't drop, it only got sharper and deeper into her face.

"Sh-shouldn't you be in class?"

"Its wednesday," says Wednesday with a harder glare as she heard the demonic crow on her shoulder laugh. Gomez gulps at the glare she sends the crow's way. He could already hear the poor demon's cries for mercy when Wednesday leaves the office with him.

"Is this for your book?" Wednesday's glare turns to him now. His adam's apple fell to his stomach. She truly did inherit her mother's eyes.

Drawing the blinds and checking the room for wires, she hands over a letter that was written by you. Bits of it were blacked out by ink, making his stomach turn at what Wednesday could be hiding at first glance. Didn't help that the visible content proved his fear and annoyance towards the company.

"They've been pestering you more because they know they will be caught. And having a lawyer that is well versed in all laws wouldn't impact their finances."

Sighing he sets the letter down and sinks deeper into the leather seat. Making it rival the wrinkles his forehead formed with the thoughts of his daughter being dragged into a confrontation with Arasaka. A confrontation she wouldn't even entertain the idea of running away from. She was like him in that sense but knew she didn't mind. She preferred being like him than her mother.

"Arasaka is a company that was founded by a man who rivaled Einstein and other great minds during the 40s. However, unlike the others he was poor- very poor. Once old Arasaka gained wealth through his service with the Imperial family of Japan which allowed him to open the company named after him. But he couldn't make arms thanks to the Axis defeat."

"So he took advantage of the tech revolution and boom to create an alternative but never abandoned his original dream."

"It appears he has combined them. Even in his death he still greeds for more power."

"What exactly does he dream of making?"

"What is he planning?"

"What has he done- is what you should be asking father." His heart shattered as his mind went blank. The world around ringed louder than any of the words Wednesday gave him.

Seeing he was gone his pride and joy gave him her own twist on concerns face to him while the redhead next to her gave him the stereotypical look of concern.

Reaching for his glass of scotch the world unfocuses and refocuses with his heavy breaths. Blinding him through blurs that causes him to knock the glass over. Shattering it.
