Author's note: Did I say the weekend? SIKE!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! WELCOME TO SEASON 2 PART 1 OF WEDNESDAY!!!! ENJOY~
Wednesday's pov:
It felt like the trees were moving faster than the car. Everything from packing to driving felt slower than ever, making Wednesday feel like a certain Demon Princess was pinning everything around her by the shadows to prevent her from going back to Nevermore.
With everything going on she wouldn't be shocked if it was your father playing with her mind since she has witnessed his mind manipulation ability within the splash zone. Courtesy of your cousin who was going to tell her about the odd case involving your brother. If the situation was different she would be impressed by the strength and magnitude of his ability.
The ability to make an entire species- and half of the world forgot about Y/N's birth right, her brother, and the Queen? How does that work? Wednesday began to think of places she could look for answers within Nevermore.
However, Nevermore was practically formed by your grandfather meaning any information about his ability could be from barely to none. Making her mother's comment about your family being very secretive true.
Shadow manipulation wasn't any easier either along with her very own. However, the entire summer she was focused on perfecting it. The reason so many things went wrong last time was because she was an immature
while you were a complete expert in your ability.
"That's my boy! A chip of the executioner's block!" Boasts her father as Pugsley continues to electrocute signs. The longer he kept doing it the further down she fell in her questions about your family's abilities.
It didn't help that her brother mentioned their father didn't inherit the electricity ability. The royal wings.... is that the only ability you inherited? All heirs have inherited the mind ability. Even those who weren't supposed to be on the throne.
"Sticking your fingers into sockets, you learn a thing or two- woah." The sound of an armada of helicopters pound down on the Earth below. The boy peeks his head out the window and whistles. "Do you think I could take one of those down-"
"You wouldn't even be able to reach a leaf on a tree. You need to work on your aim," interjects Wednesday. Her dark eyes glance at the window. There was no doubt those helicopters were heading straight to Nevermore and of the Vampire court. As far as she was concerned they probably carried your cousin/best friend who was now a member of the Earl's family. It's been three days since that carnage. Could she have found something??
"I'm just glad you've taken an interest in your brother," says her mother as she smiles proudly at her. Wednesday could feel ice forming in her veins. Wishing to slice them open so she could drop dead then and there. She didn't need her mother's approval either or analysis like her pity.
"I'm just keeping a mental list on how his abilities could serve my interests."
"That's my bombita! There is no 'we' in family! Only 'I!" Cheers her father. Her stomach's acid boils the glass sharp butterflies you would give her when you were around.
In the past she would whole heartily agree with that statement for she always followed it. And would always show great results for her while others like her brother were terrible. But now- the visions she had about you and the things your father was doing, the saying was now biting her back. It isn't planning on letting go soon- it is only going to sink it's fangs deeper into her now black heart as it chews it.
Mocking how it use to beat. But forcing her to stay alive to see what she has done and will lose. Most importantly, watch how your father continues to use you as a pawn to fulfill his needs and desires. Whether you knew it or not.
Feeling her mother's gaze on her she turns to face her brother and challenges his aim.
"I'm not sure I can," he nervously says, looking past his her to his parents. Hoping they would interject. Instead they just smile with hope in their eyes.
"If you don't," Wednesday begins slowly, as her hand brushes against a small red button by her seat. "I'll be forced to eject."
"Heh only dad's button can do that-"
"I had Thing rewire it," says her father as his fingers dance over the switches. Thing waves at her now terrified brother.
"Atredis you'll catch me right- I'm your master's future brother-in-law-"
"He's scouting the area," growls Wednesday. Glaring at her brother as her hand wraps around tightly like an anaconda around the Queen piece you gave her. Her fingers brush on the massive chip gap Thornhill's knife had stabbed the same night Thing was attacked. Or who she assumes was Thornhill. "Don't bring her into this."
As her brother prepares to hit the coming stop sign Wednesday's gazes moves pasts his figure and through the woods. Counting down the seconds till she arrived at Nevermore to finally finish what she started.
Atredis' pov:
The private investigator rushes back to his van as a tsunami of crows crashes down upon him. Like kamakazis the birds committe suicidal airstrikes against the old van- shaking it back in forth.
Atredis bored decided to help a bit by opening the back of the van to let the others enter.
"All the evidence is back in the bullpen," says the older human. Just as he hangs up he hears the ring master of the crows caw.
A sense of pride flared up in his tiny chest as he saw his descendants allow the horror to settle into the man as he realized that any small chance of survival was completely gone.
Soon the car was full of crows entering the man's body through his mouth, ears, nose, and eyes. Eating out his insides. Atredis flew closer to see the carnage first hand but stopped when he saw the name on the phone. The last call- Sheriff Galpin.
Without a second thought he scoops down and grabs the phone. The crowd with the large scar follows after him demanding what he was doing. Other crows follow suite.
Yes he could out run them easily but it had been a while since he had actual fun without worrying about your safety or anything.
Allowing the birds to surround him, nonchalantly sat on a branch, throwing the phone around. The minions watched in horror as the phone was spun and yeeted up and down. Some times he even had the audacity to let it slip a bit through his claws before fixing his grip on it.
The scared crow landed on the branch. A foot away. Cawing angrily. Waiting for the bird to get closer Atredis revealed his six red eyes- three small eyes below his normal eyes. He grew a foot and spread his wings. The crows around him broke out of their mind control, scrambling away from him to save their souls.
As for the leader, stood there terrified. Too scared to go against their master's wishes. Probably to avoid another scare on their body.
With a single flap of his wings, Atredis found himself next to the helicopters flying about to land on Nevermore. Landing on the blades, he took a joy ride before launching the phone with the force he had gained with the blades to the back of a certain Vampiric princess' head as she stepped out of the helicopter.
You turn around and catch the phone before it hits the ground. Atredis waves at you and soon takes the air once more, whistling "careless whispers". Ignoring the Latin threats, another Princess threw his way.
