Recovery Girl had recommended that Bakugo rest a little if he wanted to compete in the finals. So reluctantly and with many assurances from his boyfriend that he would be okay Izuku left to go have his own match.

It did leave him with a conundrum though. Does he want to win his match and then ultimately face his own boyfriend for the overall win? Or does he throw this match so he doesn't have that problem?

Izuku was so deep in thought that he only just registered the change in the crowd's volume. He looked up and saw Todoroki waiting patiently on his side of the arena. He also took note of a belligerent Endeavour yelling nonsense nobody could make out over the noise of the crowd.

Midnight came over to Izuku bending down to talk to him. Now Izuku is gay as the day is long but having a nearly naked woman basically shove her breasts into his field of view is enough to make anyone blush. He's gay, not blind.

"You boys okay now?" The smirk in her tone was evident, she knew perfectly well what she was doing. Izuku found himself wondering again how she was allowed to work with kids. High school kids at that.

Izuku instinctively took a step back and tried to narrow his field of view by hyper focusing on her face. "Yes mam. All good."

"Wonderful!" she exclaimed while giving Izuku a wink and going back to her spot. She cracked her whip to focus the crowd back on her.

NOW THEN EVERYONE, WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY. YOUNG LOVE AND ALL THAT! OUR NEXT MATCH WILL BE BETWEEN THE OTHER HALF OF THE DOMINATING DUO OF THE DAY. AIZAWA IZUKU!! HIS OPPONENT THIS TIME IS NOTHING TO SNEEZE AT EITHER. HAVING EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE TODAY. THE SON OF NONE OTHER THAN THE CURRENT NUMBER TWO HERO ENDEAVOUR!!! TODOROKI SHOUTO!!!

Izuku couldn't help but join Todoroki in glaring at Midnight for that introduction. Shouto is more than just the son of that flaming trash can of a man.

The buzzer went off and neither of them had stopped glaring at Midnight who for once in her life had the decency to look uncomfortable.

The buzzer went off for a second time, the one in charge of it clearly thinking neither of the boys had heard it. They would be right, but still it's not appreciated by either of them.

Todoroki took up a stance and Izuku followed suit. As expected Todoroki opened with the same attack he had caught Sero with. He sent that same glacier attack though it did seem like he had at least learned something since then. He didn't freeze over half the stadium too, instead it was contained to the arena itself.

Everyone held their breaths waiting for Midnight to make an announcement that Todoroki had won. Nobody had an idea where Izuku was until...

A loud crack reverberated in the stadium, the ice cracked and it was expanding rapidly over the entire surface of the glacier. The ice scraped the arena and split down the largest crack.

Two halves of the glacier moved apart and floated into the air. There in the center stood Izuku, eyes glowing his toxic green, hair alive again. Todoroki took half a step back as Izuku looked in his direction. He was about to move to attack again but the two halves of the glacier shattered into fine powder and fell out of the sky.

If there wasn't a stadium full of people who saw it happen, you could be forgiven for thinking a sudden snowfall had come and passed in the span of a single second.

Todoroki took a defensive stance and covered what he could in a coating of hard ice armor. Izuku had been debating the whole time what quirk he was going to use in this match.

Seeing Todoroki still just using his ice side despite their talk annoyed him. Sure he didn't expect him to change his behavior because of one offhanded conversation before a movie marathon. Izuku did however expect him to have done what he said he would and consider his words. Did he do that and find that he didn't particularly care for what Izuku thought? That hurt a little. So he was a bit hurt and definitely annoyed. Being put into a glacier is cold as fuck.
