Chapter 63- Regret means very little (Shattered multiverse)

Nightmare has many revelations and Sun is tired of all these stupid monsters

Fresh had of course set things up to be in Suns favour, even if Sun didn't seem to think so. The baby parasite wasn't exactly happy about their new company but he could do very little about that, much preferring them in less pain and more importantly alive, fully prepared to deal with their ire in response.

He was the first Fresh to meet them he checked so it meant they were his baby parasite. He had to make sure they stayed alive, his instincts demanded it so. He hadn't even considered bringing the 'bonded' monster to Sun, letting them play catch up and see if they were even worth having a bond with Sun.

He saw it as a free meal in the end for Sun, easily ignoring any connotations and encouraged Sun to think similarly. You had to make the best of a situation and he would happily snap the bond for them if it turned out useless .

He didn't mention to Sun that they had most likely unconsciously formed a bond for stability and that it was likely the final domino that caused Suns fault Code issues to finally be revealed.

He knew bonds could be a good source of magic and he also learned that children usually required a regular food source to be healthy but that was especially true for Sun and their unique 'condition'.

He also knew they weren't ready to hear the full truth yet but was sure they would reach the conclusion themselves eventually, as they were a smart baby parasite.

With Suns 'condition', they would need a solid anchor to stay somewhat stable, at least for now, until he could get what they trulyneeded.

If they actually accepted his solution was another thing but one step at a time, he needed to be quick before Sun somehow managed to dust their Nightmare.

He still needed the second food source alive for now but he knew that the baby parasite was rather resourceful and dangerous, even with the lack of stable magic.

He was so proud!

Shattered multiverse

Sun decided this experience was in his top ten most memorable and sadly not for fun reasons. He felt extremely awkward at the weird staring his co-Guardian was doing, more than happy to use Iris as a shield as he kept his distance from them. He was cursing Fresh for abruptly leaving him like this and would have liked a bit more warning or at least some sort of explanation.

He glared at the black tentacles suspiciously, the main way he was able to read the things emotions with how his magic decided to be so stupid lately. He grimaced at the sudden spasm in his leg, giving a warning glare when his co-Guardian took a step closer.

" Are you o- "

"Mind your own business!"

He hissed, unsure why they were trying to be civil for once in their existence but finding it deeply unsettling. Where was the Devil he knew?!

Did Fresh threaten them to behave...?

It would explain why they were even here, convinced they would have rejoiced at the possibility of him dusting.

" You need some more magic, Dream "

"It's 'Sun' now you stupid octopus! Did the apples rot your mind even more?! You even said my name earlier!"
