Sun finally eats all the apples but things dont go quite as planned...

"...well, that could have gone better but i guess it could have also gone so much worse"
Opal said with an uncharacteristically serious expression, feeling the multiverse start to collapse but knew the two Destroyers would make sure it stayed stable for as long as they all needed. They were just checking to make sure Sun wasnt still in it, eyeing the black scorch mark on the ground after Sun's magic practically exploded out of them.
The local Error was long gone, unsure if they had run as soon as they sensed them or were a victim of the corruption eating at the world due to Suns magic lashing out.
The end result wasn't as surprising considering how many apples had been fed to the babybones but he had not expected them to run off so quickly, suddenly realising why 404 had been so obsessed with placing trackers on the babybones.
Unfortunately for the insane skeleton he didnt really agree with that method and was fine with the long method of tracking Sun down, really not wanting to leave the babybones alone in such a delicate stage of having their Code be reformed.
Who knew if it was even stable or how many more outbursts Sun would suffer through while alone, 404's throwaway comments of a list of Suns possible powers and what they had been capable of before Opal had ever met them were not very reassuring.
He had thought Sun was decently powerful before but that was when their Code was destabilising, excited but also deeply worried what they could get up to when alone.
He cringed at how he nearly sounded like his Error, vowing to himself to never be so boring or as unrad as that, wondering if he should let more of his Fresh side out to play. It's not like there was a need to hide it anymore, apart from amusement factor of course but he first needed to track Sun before he thought of doing any of that.
While this situation was less then ideal he couldn't say he was sad that this place was being destroyed, the general concept of this multiverse rather boring after he had witnessed it once, something he made sure to cheekily share with the local Creator before they unturned to dust.
He briefly scanned the area and noticed Dream and Nightmare were also long gone, giving a questioning look to Sky to see if they had noticed where the 'batteries' had ended up going, not bothering asking 404 as they looked like they were about to go feral any second.
It was amusing how the 'normal' monster was the one losing their cool the most, while the more animalistic ones were thinking more logically. Although, he wasn't sure anyone would call 404 sane and he could tell that Suns stories really didn't do them justice.
He nodded in understanding and surprise when Sky quietly muttered that the Guardians had summoned a portal just before Suns magic lashed out, somewhat impressed by the two Guardians survival instincts. Although, perhaps he shouldn't be with how connected they had been to Sun by taking in all their excess magic.
He shook that thought off and focused on the bond he had with Sun, the only reason he wasnt losing it like 404 as he at least knew they were out there alive.
"My bond with Sun is strained but still stable. What about you Sky? Any difference?"
He wasnt ashamed to admit he took some pleasure from rubbing it in 404's face that Sun hadnt bonded to them trying to push down the guilt that Sun hadnt purposely chosen any of his bonds.
