"Im leaving and I doubt i'll even be coming back. Dont come looking for me or i'll make you regret it"

That was the first thing Error said to them when they saw them again, no one was sure what to say or if it was even wise to try and say anything but they could always count on Ink to do the unexpected.

"What?! B-But i stil have so many questions and the Balance is so new and how do i know if i will go over-"

"Dont care. It's all your problem now. Im wiping my hands of this hell hole, you dirty racoon"

Ink spluttered as he was instantly shut down why did they insist on calling him a racoon?!, ears flicking in anxiety as he looked around the room in slight desperation. Getting a SOUL wasnt all it was cracked up to be, having a surge of confusing emotions over the past few days that he had to constantly ask Dream about.

He never would have thought he would miss being soulless but at least his paints made sense, able to choose for himself what emotion he could pick and not deal with this chaotic mess.

Is this what everyone else had to deal with?!

How did anyone get things done?!

He automatically reached for his paints, frowning when he remembered that Dream had taken them from him as apparently taking paints with a SOUL was a big no no. He was sceptical but at the time didnt have the time to argue as he had instantly burst into tears straight after with it taking a few hours until he calmed down.

It was highly annoying all these odd feelings but one thing he knew for sure is that he didnt want Error to leave.

After the 'lecture' the most terrifying few hours of his life and when Error had left, both sides had been frozen in place. It was only thanks to Dream that they made a rough plan, with the most important thing being to verify everything Error had said.

It wasnt a well known fact or one that he liked to adversities but he did have the ability to read Code. It wasnt as quick or efficient as Error but over the years he had accidently learned the basics by observing the Destroyer. It had taken him a good few hours and many failed attempts but he had eventually been able to get to the right part of the Code and performed a few experiments to see if Error was right.

That is to say, he created an AU and watched the domino effect it would have on the Code, wincing at the blaring warnings and wondering how he never noticed this before he had but he had oddly ignored it, instantly forgetting it whenever he took his paints.

After that shocking revelation the idea of a Truce became much more appealing but just because he now had a SOUL didnt mean he was any more patient, having quickly dumped the work on Dream and Blue while he locked himself in the Doodle Sphere.

He had needed more time to think and cry, feeling more settled when he came out of his solitude a week later. He had been shocked at the support Dream had gathered and how quickly information spread about the truth but perhaps he shouldn't be, as Dream could be scarily efficient when they wanted to be.

He had barely had time to listen to it all before Error had barged into the meeting it took everything in him not to cower, noticing others having the same reaction before they left a bombshell of leaving.
